Alberta Physicians Claim COVID Vaccines To Blame for Deaths of Five Toronto-Area Doctors

Two physicians are sounding the alarm on the sudden deaths of five Toronto-area doctors, claiming they were likely due to COVID-19 vaccines causing heart attacks and accelerating cancers.
"My position is that it isn't guaranteed the vaccines caused these deaths, but I would put the vaccine at the number one differential diagnosis as to what contributed to their deaths. And I feel we need some sort of investigation," said Alberta-based doctor and cancer researcher William Makis.
The Canadian medical community was shocked and heartbroken in July, after five physicians died within the span of two weeks.
On July 16, Dr. Paul Hannam, the Chief of Emergency Medicine and Program Medical Director at North York General Hospital died while out for a run.
A week later, three doctors working at the same Toronto hospital passed away within the same week.
Jakub Sawicki passed away from stomach cancer, Lorne Segell died after a "ridiculously unfair and hard fought year-long battle with advanced lung cancer," and Stephen McKenzie died after after becoming "seriously ill."
Following their deaths, Trillium Health Partners, the hospital network where the men worked, published a statement on Twitter debunking rumours that they were vaccine-related.
"It is with deep sadness that THP mourns the loss of three of our physicians who recently passed away," the July 27 Tweet read. "The rumour circulating on social media is simply not true. Their passings were not related to the COVID-19 vaccine."
Then on July 27, Dr. Candace Nayman, a pediatrician at McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario passed away four days after she "collapsed" while swimming in a Triathlon.
'I've never seen this many young doctors dying under suspicious, bizarre, and sudden circumstances'
Despite dozens of posts online, Fact-checkers repeatedly claimed the five deaths had nothing to do with COVID-19 vaccines. But Makis said they provided "no evidence" except for the statement from the hospital.
Makis said the fact-checkers can't know for sure that the deaths were not caused by COVID-19 vaccines because there have been no autopsies completed. "This needs to be looked at very closely. In my personal experience, and I've never seen this many young doctors dying under suspicious, bizarre, and sudden circumstances before," he said.
Makis said since the vaccines were first rolled out in April 2021, he has counted 26 Canadian doctors who have unexpectedly died. All of them were under the age of 70, with many in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
Makis said he had read numerous articles about young athletes collapsing during physical activity due to heart attacks and myocarditis.
Researchers in a 2021 study found among 4,931,775 people who received the vaccine, there were 5.7 events of myocarditis or myopericarditis per 100,000 vaccinated people. But a more recent preprint study out of Thailand found the incidence of myocarditis in teens was 1 in 43.
"You can say these athletes might have had a genetic heart defect, but those cases are extremely rare," Makis said. "So then you have a 27-year-old doctor who collapses during a triathlete and dies a few days later. Again, this is very unusual," he said.
According to Makis, he has seen evidence in the medical community that mRNA vaccines can either cause or accelerate certain types of cancers, which could explain the deaths of two of the Toronto-area doctors. "But that's a different conversation." Fact-checkers have also attempted to debunk this claim.
Makis said he also finds it "concerning" that none of Canada's medical associations have spoken about the five deaths, and the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) stopped updating their 'in Memoriam page altogether in the middle of June.
Sivani Srikanthan advisor of community engagement at the CMA, told the Western Standard that the page is updated "monthly, usually around the 20th of the month."
"This lack of intellectual curiosity and just this lack of concern for physicians that are dying in unusual circumstances, that to me is also very concerning," Makis said.
Dr. Daniel Nagase, an Alberta-based physician of over 15 years, said the likelihood of even a single young doctor dropping dead is "normally very low." He explained that being a physician puts them in a higher socioeconomic status, which is usually correlated with a longer life expectancy and better health outcomes.
"The higher your income, the less likely you are to have a stroke or a heart attack or to die from aggressive cancers. So young doctors are generally a very healthy demographic."
Nagase also said physically active doctors should know the symptoms of heat strokes or heart attacks, which makes it strange that they would exert themselves to the point of dropping dead.
"We do see that from time to time, an athlete can push themselves too hard on a hot day and have a minor heart attack," he said. "But it's never a doctor that pushes themselves so far that they have a heart attack and drop dead. That is very unusual to see."
Nagase said that shortly after people began getting vaccinated, he began seeing young people showing up in his office with advanced cancers, when a few months prior, CT scans had shown they were fine. Nagase said he also believes the vaccines could be causing or accelerating certain types of cancers.
"This was happening in March and April 2021. Typically we don't see sudden recurrences of cancer, especially aggressive metastatic cancer, until a year after a clear CT scan," he said.
"I was seeing some very unusual presentations; things that I've never seen in a medical textbook. And I shudder to think of what we'll see over the next decade with cancer rates."
The Western Standard reached out to the Ontario Ministry of Health, but did not hear back before press time.

Dr. Charles Hoffe here in BC sounded the alarm June last year, as he was on the privileged position to be both an ER doctor and also a family doctor at Lytton. He saw the people whom he himself jabbinated showing up on the ER with heart issues. He was removed from hospital duty, investigated, harassed and I’m not sure whether he lost his license. A very good man.
Those who promote or administer vaccines at this point are murderers and they know it. They should spend the rest of their lives in prison.
