I got a traffic ticket for speeding in my rental car in Alberta about 6 years ago. I paid it (I’m such a good girl, ha!) using the mail system several weeks after I got home. I did consider NOT paying it, as it was clear that Alberta would have no way of collecting the funds unless I did it voluntarily. I did it because I figured that I may want to travel to Canada again in the future, and didn’t want to have any possible issues emerge from this unpaid ticket.
Shouldn’t have paid it as I’m NEVER going to Canada again. The country has turned into a tyrannical hellhole.
