Former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin dies aged 96 â state media
The statesman led the country into the new millennium after the turmoil of the 1989 Tiananmen Square mass protests
Jiang Zemin, who led China into the 21st century, passed away on Wednesday in Shanghai, according to state media. Concerns for the 96-year-oldâs health had been raised by his absence from the 20th Communist Party congress last month.
Jiang was at the helm of the Communist Party from 1989 to 2002 and was the first national leader since Mao Zedong who was not personally part of Maoâs generation of revolutionary fighters. He was widely perceived as a compromise candidate to replace Deng Xiaoping, whose reformist term was marred by the mass protests on Tiananmen Square and the government crackdown that followed.
RED TERROR Tanks roll onto Chinaâs streets in chilling echo of Tiananmen massacre as Xi cracks down on âWhite Paperâ protests
TANKS have rolled onto the streets of China as Xi Jinping orders a clampdown on the 'White Paper' anti-lockdown protests.
Their appearance is a chilling echo of the Tiananmen Square massacre when troops were used to brutally suppress demonstrations â prompting one manâs iconic protest by standing in front of a tank.
NATO reaffirms pledge to expand into Ukraine and Georgia, despite conflict
The head of the US-led military bloc could still offer no timeline for when Kiev might attain membership
NATO has reiterated its 2008 pledge to admit Ukraine and Georgia â both neighbors to Russia, insisting that the organisation will continue to expand its presence in the former Soviet Union.
Moscow has repeatedly warned that it regards the encroachment of the miltary bloc towards its borders as a major security threat.Â
EU country urges Ukraine to strike Russia
The US-led NATO bloc "should not fear" allowing Kiev to attack Russia freely, Latvia's top diplomat says
Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics urged NATO to "allow" Ukraine to use its Western-supplied weaponry for strikes deep into Russian territory. The top diplomat made the remarks in an interview with Bloomberg on the sidelines of the NATO foreign ministersâ meeting in Bucharest on Tuesday.
In particular, the weaponry should be used to attack sites used by Moscow to stage missile strikes against Ukraineâs critical infrastructure, Rinkevics suggested.
South Korea scrambles jets, saying Chinese and Russian planes in air defense zone
Eight aircraft have approached the countryâs airspace, Seoul say
South Korea says it has scrambled fighter jets after Chinese and Russian warplanes made their way into the countryâs air defense identification zone (KADIZ) early on Wednesday.
Two Chinese H-6 strategic bombers repeatedly entered and left the KADIZ off South Koreaâs southern and northeast coasts from around 5:50am local time, Seoulâs Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said.
US, South Korea Plan To Expand 'Silent Shark' Drills
Washington and Seoul are reportedly discussing plans to ramp up anti-submarine military exercises set to begin next year. The talks came amid soaring tensions in the region, and just days before North Korea pledged to further develop its nuclear arsenal.Â
While some details of the biannual 'Silent Shark' drills remain undecided, they are set to be "bigger than those of the past, given the North heightening tensions with its dozens of missile tests in recent months," the Korea Times reported last week, citing an unnamed navy official.
Israel, US Holds Aerial Drill Simulating Attack On Iran Nuclear Sites
The Israeli Air Force has unveiled that this week it will conduct its largest joint aerial drills in years with the US Air Force, which involves a highly provocative mock mission to take out Iranian nuclear sites.Â
The Jerusalem Post details based on military statements, "The drill will take place from Tuesday until Thursday over the Mediterranean Sea and Israel. It will include long-range flights such as those that Israeli pilots might need to make in order to reach the Islamic Republic."
âWild rideâ: Morgan Stanleyâs Mike Wilson predicts double-digit percentage drop will hit stocks in early 2023
Investors may be on the doorstep of a deep pullback.
Morgan Stanleyâs Mike Wilson, who has an S&P 500 year-end target of 3,900 for next year, warns corporate America is getting ready to unleash downward earnings revisions that will pummel stocks.
âItâs the path. I mean nobody cares about whatâs going to happen in 12 months. They need to deal with the next three to six months,â he told CNBCâs âFast Moneyâ on Tuesday. âThatâs where we actually think thereâs significant downside. So, while 3,900 sounds like a really boring six months. No... itâs going to be a wild ride.â
Twitter Stops Enforcing COVID-19 Misinformation Policy
Twitter will no longer enforce its Covid-19 misinformation policy, under which users who deviated from prevailing establishment narratives frequently had their accounts locked or suspended.
The longstanding policy did not apply to misinformation from government officials, who regularly lied about things such as transmission, masks, vaccine efficacy, side effects, or any of the other 'science' which turned out to be patently false.
'Negative Efficacy' Should Have Stopped COVID Vaccine Recommendations In Their Tracks
Recently, various health agencies around the world have approved and are actively pushing for another COVID booster shot, meant to enhance the vaccine efficacy against a COVD-19 infection.
However, many studies have found that the boosters do not make a significant difference in protection, especially in terms of protection against reinfection. In fact, the latest data shows vaccine efficacy against the coronavirus tends to even drop into the negatives after just a few months.

Highly Decorated US Military Officer Resigns and Sacrifices Pension in Protest to Vaccine Mandate
Now-former Lieutenant Colonel Bradley Miller has resigned from his post in the Army after serving the United States military for over 19 years, citing the Pentagonâs irresponsible and unlawful mRNA mandate.
âI left the army with my integrity intact and my oath to the Constitution unbroken,â Miller said. And so he did.
A highly decorated military officer, Miller commanded a battalion in the 101st Airborne Division, and he was a graduate of the Armyâs prestigious School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS).
When Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin issued the order mandating the mRNA âvaccine,â Miller issued a strong rebuttal.
Intended Consequences: mRNA Vaccines were Designed to Cause Severe Disease and Be Resistant to Antibodies
Data published by spike protein inventors, Barney Graham & Jason McLellan, COVID-19 mRNA vaccines were purposefully designed to not protect against SARS-CoV-2 or variants and cause disease
The Club of Rome and the Rise of the âPredictive Modellingâ Mafia
While many are now familiar with the manipulation of predictive modelling during the COVID-19 crisis, a network of powerful Malthusians have used the same tactics for the better part of the last century in order to sell and impose their agenda.
While much propaganda has gone into convincing the world that eugenics disappeared with the defeat of Hitler in 1945, the reality, as I discussed in my previous article The Revenge of the Malthusians and the Science of Limits, is far removed from this popular fantasy.
New York City Will Hospitalize More Mentally Ill People Involuntarily
Mayor Eric Adams announced a major effort on Tuesday to remove people with severe, untreated mental illness from the cityâs streets and subways, saying New York had âa moral obligationâ to address âa crisis we see all around us.â
The effort will involve hospitalizing people involuntarily, even if they do not pose an immediate risk of harm to others.
Apple Turned Off Protest Communication Tool Right Before Anti-Lockdown Uprising in China
As it mulls kicking Elon Muskâs Twitter off the app store, it has now been revealed that Apple restricted the use of AirDrop in China, a move that harmed the organizational efforts of demonstrators protesting against the CCPâs lockdowns.
Over the past week, multiple major cities across China have seen massive protests against lockdowns, with the normally compliant Chinese exploding into rage in response to their governmentâs âzero COVIDâ policy.
105 Countries are Exploring CBDCs and 11 Have Already Launched Them
At an International Monetary Fund (âIMFâ) seminar last month, IMFâs Deputy Managing Director and former deputy governor of the Peopleâs Bank of China, Bo Li, spoke about the âprogrammabilityâ of central bank digital currencies (âCBDCsâ):
âCBDC can improve financial inclusion [ ] through what we call programmability. That is CBDC can allow government agencies and private sector players to program, to create smart contract, to allow targeted policy functions. For example, welfare payment, for example, consumption coupon, for example, food stamp. By programming CBDC, those money can be precisely targeted for what kind of people can own and what kind of use this money can be utilised, for example, for food.â

UK Govt Prosecutors Argue Parts of Bible âNo Longer Appropriate in Modern Societyâ
Lawyers for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) of England and Wales tried to have a Christian street preacher convicted for quoting the Bible to a lesbian couple, insisting that scripture is âno longer appropriate in modern society â.
The extraordinary case, mounted in what is still nominally a Christian church, with an established church in which the head of state serves as Supreme Governor, was brought against armed forces veteran and throat cancer survivor John Dunn, after the police referred him to prosecutors for telling a lesbian couple that it âsays in the Bible that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of Godâ in Swindon.
Pope Francis just said he wonât comment on unborn children as âpersonsâ
But what was more controversial in the interview was the Popeâs talk of polarization.
(LifeSiteNews) â In a new interview with America Magazine, Pope Francis upheld the humanity of our unborn brothers and sisters but refused to say that they were, well, people. Â
âTherefore, there is a living human being,â he said of the month-old fetus. âI do not say a person, because this is debated, but a living human being.âÂ
This paper was recently published: "The Duty to Edit the Human Germline" (02 November 2022)
"Many people find the manipulation of the human germline ... to be morally impermissible. In this paper, I argue for the claim that editing the human germline is morally permissible. ... we also have an epistemic duty to gather evidence regarding the effects of editing the human germline which overrides any moral duty to protect future generations."
