I think the title is supposed to be facetious we know it's unlikely for weather or climate to cause excess deaths.

She said ' how come the hospital's are not overwhelmed and ambulance sirens all day?'
I said " because hearses don't deliver to hospital".
Ambulance do not use sirens when someone needs to be checked for deadness.
There is a scale for deadness-
1. Dead
2. Thought to be dead, but not quite, then dies.
3. Alive.
