As a sort of PS, I've scratched my brain a little, and to my knowledge there are only 2 cases of a "novel" disease in history:
1. The mysterious "Sweating Sickness" which afflicted Europe between 1485 and 1551 and then just... disappeared... and:

I am speaking about the shrill cry from people like Mark Crispin Miller who say the sky is falling and people are dying suddenly in droves. I’m not seeing it. Yes, it was obvious from the start that it made no sense. They did the labwork to figure that out so that it can be controlled for when doing the data analysis for the efficacy of their treatment. At this time, if we assume that everyone in the US has been infected with the virus we can estimate approximately that 2 out of 3 infections were asymptomatic. You may ask why. Was it because it wasn't new and some people had endountered previous less lethal versions? Was it new but 2 out of 3 people could fight it off asymptomatically for some other reason? I don't know. In the end it doesn't matter. By end of April 2020 we knew thay the Zelenko protocol prevented hospitalizations, by July 2020 it was clear and convincing that Zelenko protocol prevented deaths, and we also had hcq prophylaxis. By end of the Summer, we could have ended the emergency. We don't need to make the argument more complicated than that.

As a sort of PS, I've scratched my brain a little, and to my knowledge there are only 2 cases of a "novel" disease in history:
1. The mysterious "Sweating Sickness" which afflicted Europe between 1485 and 1551 and then just... disappeared... and:
