I've been wondering when the Chinese economy will collapse. Going from $1 trillion in total debt in 2000 to over $45 trillion now makes it the most overleveraged banking system on earth. Much of that debt is bad, with the money being spent by corrupt cadres on endless infrastructure and property developments. Gigantic empty shopping malls. 68 million empty apartments. Overcapacity in every industrial sector from cement to cars. China is a bug in search of a windshield for sure:).
