From my own personal dealings with HSBC, the head office staff were mostly incompetent idiots, but the branch staff were generally excellent.
If HSBC want to improve, they should shut their head office, and give more power to the branches. This latest decision, however, shows they are going in the opposite direction, and HSBC bank is being damaged even further.
