GENICHESK (Sputnik) - A new corrupt draft evasion scheme, which involves military commissars and volunteer organizations in Ukraine, has become known to the Russian security forces from sources among Ukrainian troops, a representative of law enforcement agencies told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"According to information received from sources in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a corruption scheme of draft evasion has been established in Ukraine. The entrance tariff is $10,000. It is a one-time payment to a military commissar in order to enroll a potential recruit in a volunteer organization operating at each Recruitment and Social Support Center of the Ukrainian army. This is how the military enlistment offices are called there now," the source said.
Navy Releases First Images Of Chinese Surveillance Balloon Debris
A team of special Navy divers has recovered remnants of a Chinese surveillance balloon from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Surface recovery ships are being used to scoop up the debris while underwater drones locate debris fields for divers.
On Tuesday evening, the military service released the first images of the spy balloon that was shot down off the coast of South Carolina on Saturday.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has requested that President Joe Biden’s administration return debris from the air balloon that the US military shot down off America’s east coast on Saturday, saying the aircraft “belongs to China.”
Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning was asked whether Beijing had asked for the balloon debris to be returned. “The airship does not belong to the US,” she said. “It belongs to China.”

An earthquake was felt in Israel on Tuesday evening. The Seismological Division of the Geological Survey of Israel said, "Tonight at 11:14 p.m. Israel time, an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred 15 kilometers southeast of Ariel."
The Home Front command noted that “an earthquake warning was not activated, because it was not an earthquake that endangers the residents of Israel.”

The Knesset Law Committee could begin voting on parts of Israel’s proposed legal reforms as early as tomorrow, committee chairman Simcha Rothman told the group’s members Monday night.
Rothman announced that the proposed reforms will be voted on in parts. The first two sections will be regarding reforms that deal with the composition of the judicial selection committee and those that bar the High Court of Justice from exercising judicial review over Israel's Basic Laws.
