The nation’s spy chief, a longtime college president and top women in finance. The circle of people who associated with Jeffrey Epstein years after he was a convicted sex offender is wider than previously reported, according to a trove of documents that include his schedules.

William Burns, director of the Central Intelligence Agency since 2021, had three meetings scheduled with Epstein in 2014, when he was deputy secretary of state, the documents show. They first met in Washington and then Mr. Burns visited Epstein’s townhouse in Manhattan.

Then a campaign aide to President-elect Biden, Blinken agreed to testify voluntarily to a Senate committee investigating the Biden family’s business dealings in December 2020, Johnson said on Sunday in a Fox News interview.

US Air Force Moves Strategic Air Tankers From Germeny To Poland

Nineteen American in-flight refueling aircraft will be stationed at the Powidz Air Base in western Poland. According to the U.S. magazine Stars and Stripes, this is the latest sign that U.S. Armed Forces are shifting combat resources to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank.

The U.S. Air Force command in Europe confirmed that on March 10 of this year “American air tankers began working in their new main location in Poland.”

Death Toll Rises As Ukraine Ramps Up Attacks On Russian Border Towns

Casualties have risen after intense shelling of a Russian village in the Bryansk region near the Ukrainian border, an attack which happened Saturday, with emergency responders initially citing two killed. 

The casualty count as been revised as rescuers comb through rubble of a residential building. Four civilians have died and another two wounded "as a result of the actions by Ukrainian nationalists," governor Aleksandr Bogomaz announced Sunday.

Russian forces hit depots in Pavlograd, prepared for counteroffensive — politician

MOSCOW, April 30. /TASS/. Russian forces carried out strikes on railroad infrastructure and ammunition and fuel depots in Pavlograd, Dnepropetrovsk Region, which the Ukrainian military prepared for the counteroffensive, says Vladimir Rogov, head of the We are Together with Russia movement.

"The locals tell me about massive landings on railroad infrastructure and fuel and ammunition depots, which Ukrainian militants have accumulated for the counteroffensive," Rogov said on his Telegram channel.

Saudi Arabia evacuated several dozen Russians from Sudan — consulate general

MOSCOW, April 30. /TASS/. Saudi Arabia evacuated several dozen Russian nationals from Sudan aboard military ships, Ruslan Usmanov, Spokesman of the Russian Consulate General in Jeddah told TASS Sunday.

"Russian nationals do not evacuate on their own. They are being evacuated by Saudi military ships. They took this issue upon themselves. They evacuate from Port Sudan and take them to the Port of Jeddah, to the naval base. We meet them here," the diplomat said.

Ex-Sudanese prime minister warns of ‘nightmare’ civil war

More than 500 civilians are estimated to have died since violence broke out earlier this month between rival army factions

Former Sudanese prime minister Abdalla Hamdok said on Saturday that the worsening armed conflict in the African nation could prompt a civil war, which he said would be a “nightmare for the world.”

“God forbid if Sudan is to reach a point of civil war proper,” he said, speaking at an event in Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday. He added that he believed civil wars in Syria, Yemen, and Libya would be “small play” compared to what he fears might break out in Sudan. “I think it would be a nightmare for the world,” Hamdok explained.

US Forces Simulate Defending Taiwan from a Chinese Invasion

The US Army’s Special Operations Command (USASOC) simulated defending Taiwan from a Chinese invasion in the latest example of the US military preparing for a direct war with China.

According to Military.com, the drills were part of the USASOC’s annual capabilities exercise, or CAPEX, which took place at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The soldiers simulated being inserted into Taiwan during a Chinese attack.

Islamic State leader killed in Syria by Turkish intelligence services, Erdogan says

IS selected al-Qurashi as its leader in November 2022 after the previous IS leader was killed in an operation in southern Syria.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that Turkish intelligence forces killed Islamic State leader Abu Hussein al-Qurashi in Syria.

"This individual was neutralized as part of an operation by the Turkish national intelligence organization in Syria yesterday," Erdogan said in an interview with TRT Turk broadcaster.

Anticipation surrounds Iran presidential visit to Syria - analysis

Iran backing Syria is expected to be helpful in Syria's hopeful return to the Arab League.

Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi is expected to travel to Syria this week. This will be a major visit for the Syrian regime which has been doing heavy lifting in its outreach to regional countries and Russia in recent months. Syria’s foreign minister, for instance, has become a globetrotter, going to Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan and other countries.

Syria has been meeting with the Gulf states and Russia. Now Iran will showcase its backing for Damascus. This is important for Syria which wants to return to the Arab League.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah discussed possible talks between Saudi Arabia and the Lebanese terrorist group, reports said on Saturday. 

Additionally, an unnamed European government communicated Riyadh’s interest in starting negotiations with the Iranian-backed Hezbollah organization via a third party, Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper learned. This development follows Saudi Arabia’s mending of ties with Iran and Syria, as well as the start of peace talks with the conflicting parties in Yemen. 

France to See Largest May Day Demonstrations in 30-40 Years

PARIS (Sputnik) - Demonstrations on May 1 will be the largest in France in 30-40 years, with people continuing to protest against the controversial pension reform, Laurent Berger, the general secretary of the French Democratic Confederation of Labour (CFDT), said on Sunday.

Earlier in the month, France's leading trade unions called for a general nationwide strike against the reform on May 1.

According to Fox News,  A group of Satanists cheered as two leaders opened SatanCon 2023 on Friday with a formal ceremony renouncing “symbols of oppression” by ripping up a Bible and a “Thin Blue Line” flag representing police.

“We stand here today in defiance of their siege and destroy their symbols of oppression,” a female leader told the crowd before ripping pages out of the Bible and throwing them on the floor, video showed.
