Edit: I should add that my father recently passed away from cancer - for me it was completely unexpected. He was getting better. Scans from the neck down on Dec 15th showed no signs of cancer, pending follow up brain scan in January. He didn't make it that long. Half his brain was full of cancer.
What is wild is that I tried so hard to warn him. And he refused to take any of the drugs they prescribed him because of side effects & contraindications and unknowns. Yet he was perfectly fine taking an experimental poison and poisonous chemo treatment (which has like a 3% success rate, mind you.... at least per the studies I reviewed). Im still not over it. Im devastated & heart broken. Ive become very depressed & reclusive. This shit is tearing apart families in more ways than 1. Its absolutely awful and my heart goes out to other affected.

My sister in law was just diagnosed with stage four cancer in lymph nodes and other organs after her mastectomy last week.
Her exam a year ago did not detect anything. Very aggressive.
