I also think that Psyop was referring to those who keep articles behind a paywall for subscribers only.
I had to unsubscribe from Karen Kingston because a majority, maybe 80%, of her articles were behind a paywall; and she is kind of jerky about sucking people into an article and then sticking you with the paywall.
Very distasteful tactics IMHO.
El gato malo and Eugyppius occasionally paywall their stuff but you know it’s paywalled as soon as you open the email.
I have no problem with that at all.
I don’t know why I went into all this but I have a feeling that it resonates with a lot of people.

I'm literally jUST now discovering the paywall issue with Karen Kingston!! So disheartening!! I understand some are making their living writing here now, but I unfortunately cannot afford to pay for all the great writers' info that we're being blessed with. Again, disheartening.
Information like this should be free and that is why I thanked Lioness, I guess that was misunderstood. Malone is suing a good man (Peter Breggin) and he is being sued (Malone) because he has been suspect from jump. Red flag after red flag with that guy. Yes my substack is pay wall free because I believe that information should be accessible for all, specially when my posts are shared on social media and on other websites. Also I know that there are people who can not afford food never mind paid subscription. But I COULD NOT do what I do without my paid subs, to whom I' am eternally grateful.

Maybe they do that to discourage bots & nasties. Paying can discourage those who want only to be combative & argumentative.
