I find it hard not to see a connection between this event and the Bondi Junction stabbings of only a few days ago (in a highly Jewish area of Sydney), as though those shopping centre attacks may have triggered this incident, or perhaps there is something even more sinister afoot.
I have a former colleague who sends me links to Mar Mari's sermon series on Revelation. He does sometimes mention the vision of Jesus he saw in His home, always speaks with great humility about himself, and in every way his love for the Lord Jesus Christ shines through in all that he says.
As an advocate for forgiveness, I am sure that he has already forgiven the perpetrator, and would urge us to do the same if he could speak to us right now. I also see him bouncing back with great courage to continue on with his ministry.
