The problem is, this as well as the ineffectiveness of all the things they made us do these past 2 and 1/2 years has been known (For what a century now?) do not work. They forced it upon us anyway.
They think lockdowns didn't work because they didn't lock down hard enough. Next time will be worse, if we allow it. These were not rational actions by honest actors. If we don't punish them, they wil persist. And we will deserve it.
Perfect summation: fools or criminals are our Public Health leaders.

Destroying small businesses and redirecting consumers to spend their money at big businesses sure made that nasty Pandemic sweet for those at the top.
