I would not mind being wrong, but I see the energy being directed at an enemy "out there", and that strikes me as the delusion of all delusions, not to mention distraction, and a perfect way to lose the battle. I think it's important to say something about that.

I see a lot of "fight" language here in the comments. I don't exactly disagree but how are you going to fight this, which is what we are up against:
Eph. 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
How are we going to fight THOSE? With guns?
Eph. 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The passage continues from there in greater detail, as many of you know. It doesn't say we are going to fight and win. This is about perseverance (v.18) -- withstanding -- which is a scriptural theme that I don't hear very much about, although I often encounter it in scripture. The armor is defensive with the exception of the sword (v. 17), but the sword is "the word of God". You could throw a Bible at somebody -- my super-large print ones weigh over four pounds -- but that's not the point.
Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hang on just a minute. That's not about the enemy out there -- that's about us! So fight on, but notice that we are the problem, not the solution and, if you can, that the only way out of this is through our reliance upon God.
Paul, in Eph. 6:19-20, sets an example, in the context of asking for prayer,
"19 ... that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." He was doing something -- sharing the gospel with many.
We still need to ask God what we should be doing, and often the answer is "share the gospel". I understand however, that there are other things that must be accomplished in this time, and that God may prepare and call specific people to do them, and that He equips different people to share in different ways to different audiences. This can be observed in the scriptures, whether Jeremiah, Ezekiel, or the woman at the well, to name a few, and can also be seen today.
Clint Richardson did the word-deconstruction to find that Confederation = Conspiracy. Therefore the entire western government system is one big conspiracy. So he jokes (not really) that you can't accuse a Conspiracy of being or having or making a Conspiracy because that is what it is. There's a source that I don't trust who says convincincly that only about 13% of court cases are won by those who bring suit. Supposedly it was arrived at because if too few people won then the sheep would think the system was corrupt (as if...) but if too MANY people won, then the sheep would think that the system was rigged.
I have also read that "pro se" cases (i.e. cases in which the litigant did not use a lawyer) are not to be cited by lawyers. So you can win your pro se case and it will have little if any impact on the system.
I wasn't aware of that but it makes perfect sense to keep the sucesses of the non-club members away from the rest of the victims and promoting it in the Record because you wouldn't want an outbreak of people actually winning.
