It’s ironic, really that Dr Osterholm expressed concerns about masking. He’s a big time Covidian who recently become infected with C19 despite enthusiastically vaxxing, boosting and masking. In his telling, he only removed his mask briefly to eat and, inexplicably in light of his paranoia, in an elevator during a rare night out to attend a concert. Lo and behold, he and his companions came down with The Covid. Now he claims Vaxx Injury, I mean Long Covid.

He just wanted only N95's and people to not substitute masks for social distancing.

I've said for 3.5 years that masks are behavioral science-based epidemiology NPI. A symbol to raise awareness and increase fear of infectious disease so that people will make behavioral modifications of social distancing, avoiding large gatherings, etc. A symbolic reminder that an invisible danger is all around them.
Behavioral Science, BS (psychological mind-farkery) Non-pharmaceutical intervention. For those who "suffered" from "Optimism Bias" - a BS term. Needing the Rx of "Fear Amplification" - another BS term. To cure us of our mental deficiencies that make us not believe the severity of infectious disease we face. For real.

Fear is a real effective cure for optimism. And until arguments against masks attack the right type of science arguments from opponents will continue to be ignored. The CDC knows they don't work medically. There is no natural science that supports them. Behavioral science, BS is what they are relying upon. Hiding in the ambiguity of the world "science." Flush them and their BS pseudoscience out from the ambigous camoflauge it hides in. The science of deceit, manipulation of the public mind. We must Follow The Science (TM) to the specific type of science to most effectively attack and destroy it. It's complete BS.
