I really appreciate this article. Had no idea of the history of the polio vaccine, so this fills a large gap.
I recently read RFK Jr's "The Real Anthony Fauci" and am currently making my way through Dr. Peter Duesberg's "Inventing the AIDS Virus". Although I have only read the first few chapters of the latter, these chapters cover the history of bacteriology and virology from the 19th century on. It is clear in Duesberg's presentation that the vaccine industry as we know it is largely a chimera, based on the false attribution of diseases to viruses by the NIH from the middle of the last century on. I am coming to the growing realization that the entire vaccine industry - and by extension a large part of modern medicine - is one long con.
For those interested in this subject and willing to engage in some out of the box thinking, I highly recommend both of the books above. You will never look at your doctor in quite the same way again.
Lioness, this is a brilliant article. I read a few things about polio and most certainly, none of what I know contradicts what you wrote. Well written and well researched.
As someone with a mechanical engineering minor, I don't think the iron lung accomplished much. The issues I see are: (1) the pressures are affecting the entire body (except the head) when it needs to be targeted to the chest (2) the seal around the person's neck cannot be tight due to choking but that then limits the amount of pressure that can be used. Also, using all that iron for the contraption is unnecessary and ridiculous since the pressures would be so low. It seems more of a shock visual prop than a medical device.
I believe the Aussies at the time came up with a breathing chest box which was more targeted and would in theory overcome the issues with the iron lung.
I just watched this on the iron lung and that easily moving emergency handle surrounded by a rubber material adds to my concern that the effective pressures to the chest were miniscule. The handle is at the 2:10 mark.

Fantastic piece of writing. As I age I find much to my amusement, that my grandmother was correct, some things never change.

Thank you!! This is an excellent summary... oh my, I’ve been learning so much lately. Bottom line: I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER INJECTION (in small part due to the “polio provocation” discussed above). For those interested, I discuss my evolving views every two weeks. Here is my latest: https://rumble.com/v10fhxs--virus-fears-cancer-fears-microbe-fears...-enough-already-episode-94.html
I agree. My thinking has evolved along similar lines.
The medical industry was born out of the chemical industry intelligence cover up industry.
oh man... if you don't know about how fluoride ended up in dentistry & water supplies, I suggest you dig deep into that one.
Yes I've seen it.
Great article! I would also suggest "The Moth in the Iron Lung" - it's a fantastic account of everything leading up to Polio in the US:
