The hospitals who employed these physicians , got paid extra by insurance companies, for anyone who was Covid positive at the time of delivery or triage visits . The hospitals were incentivized to put Covid positive on the billing. Independent physicians or self employed physicians, that I know of , did not get paid extra or incentivized.
