Exactly. My late mother’s family suffered great losses in Poland during the Holocaust. When I was feeling low over all this I’d think of the European Jewish communities from the day. Imagine how they lived through such tyranny for a decade before the Final Solution was implemented. The things they saw. I interviewed several survivors in a project about 15 yrs ago…all living in America and the amazing resilience of the human spirit. Of course their atrocity was in the open, ours is hidden, very stealthy.
