Our main problem in Europe is EU itself and especially EU Commission, not elected by citizens, that has the full power to make any rule they like without need to have EU Parliament approval. I called them EuroReich. On top of that there is NATO, the most criminal organization in Europe lead by an American.... that is not a coincidence at all, sory!
If you asked European citizens of the 12 founding countries of EU, if they would have accepted Romania, Bulgaria, Polonia, and many of ex USSR countries to be part of EU, almost all would have answered: No thanks!
But the pressure of Nato and USA imposing their own agenda on european citizen made EU Commission accepting them.
Covid is just the result of 75 years of US Empire in Europe, west or east.
