I find it very interesting that they're still using the exact same rice-shaped RFID chip images that us serious conspiracy "theorists" were passing around photocopies of in 1995.
Old school RFID chips will be the gateway, at first rolled out (sold) for convenience and safety. Many will perceive it as tried and trusted because βitβs the same tech thatβs in our phones, etcβ. The bio-nanotechnology will come a little later. Two way BCI represents the end of the human species.
It'll slide through a wide bore needle easily. The rounded ends won't cut up your muscles. And it hurts like hell being implanted. Just ask any animal that's been chipped, as they cry out during the process.
Interesting / disturbing free online conference this weekend, "Stepping Into the Future" (w/ session on "Moral Enhancement").Β From the "Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies".Β
Sharing for FYI, I'm not affiliated with, nor do I know anything about them, just somehow on their mailing list.Β
I can believe there's people working on "posthumanism" with good intentions.Β (Although if there are good intentions, they could NOT co-exist with coercion / force / hiding next level tech in familiar sounding words like "vaccines").
And maybe if psychopaths weren't running and manipulating the world the human-tech-bio-convergence would be a different conversation ... I would still find it quite creepy and a line not to cross, but it might not bring the coercive, controlling dystopia we're heading towards ...Β
From IEET -"This coming weekend, theΒ SteppingΒ Into the FutureΒ conference has session onΒ "Moral Enhancement"Β -Β Are we fit for the future?
Arguably high degrees of moral fortitude are required for humans to coordinate through some potentially rough times ahead and avoid existential crises.
This session discusses enhancing human morality to achieve civilizational resilience, while considering freedom & autonomy.
It consists of 2 talks and a panel:Β Pramod K. NayerΒ (Hyderabad University) -Β Posthumanism and it's Moral ImperativesΒ James HughesΒ (IEET)
-Β Cyborg Virtues: Using BCIs for Moral EnhancementΒ Panelists:Β James Hughes, PJ ManneyΒ andΒ Pramod K. NayerΒ
-Β Panel: Are we fit for the future?Β Β The three other sessions areΒ βEngineering a Better Futureβ,Β βAI Safety & Longtermismβ and βAGI Architectures & AgencyβΒ
In this 2010 article, J. Hughes, executive director of IEET (& author of Citizen Cyborg), says -
"If the imaginary moral community of humanity is flexible enough to expand beyond white male property-owners to all human beings surely it can expand a little further to include gorillas, cyborgs and mutants."
God, We need your help! π
Take heed and choose where you live wisely.
