Warnings About Alarming Pre-Oct 7 Hamas Activity Ignored, Say Israeli Surveillance Soldiers

The Oct 7 Hamas military and terrorist attacks on Israel came as shock to many -- but not to surveillance soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) who say their warnings about their alarming observations along the Gaza border were ignored by higher-ups. 

In interviews with Israeli media, soldiers of the IDF's Combat Intelligence Corps say that, for at least three months before the attacks, they observed Hamas members conducting paramilitary training along the fenceline, digging holes, studying the area with maps, examining the ground surface and even placing and detonating explosives.

Several thousand US troops have taken part in Israel’s ground operation in Gaza, the Iran-based Tasnim News Agency reported on Saturday. The Pentagon has recently announced plans to significantly reinforce its military presence in the Middle East amid the Israel-Hamas conflict and tensions with Iran.

According to the agency’s security sources, Israel’s assault on Gaza involved three divisions and several brigades and was also underpinned by 5,000 US military personnel. The outlet, however, did not provide any details about which troops took part in the offensive or what functions they performed.

Hamas Vows To Release 8 Russian-Israeli Hostages After Talks In Moscow

We reported earlier that Hamas on Thursday sent a delegation to Moscow, a rarity, in order to engage with Russian diplomats on the Gaza-Israel crisis. The controversial meetings appear to have born fruit for the Kremlin side, particularly related to dual Russian citizens who are being held by Hamas, among the more than 220 Israeli captives who haven't been heard from since Oct.7.

According to The Moscow Times, "Hamas is trying to locate eight Russian-Israeli dual citizens among nearly 230 taken hostage during the Palestinian militants' attack on Israel after Moscow's request to free them, Russian news agencies reported Saturday."

Political ‘Party of Islam’ Registered in UK 6 Days After Hamas Attack.

A new political party was registered with the United Kingdom’s Electoral Commission regulator just six days after the Hamas terror attack on Israel and ensuing response.

The description for the party, as given to the Electoral Commission, states:

1. We are a party who has been created to help all of the minority in the land of Great Britain have a voice

2. We will make sure that all problems which lingure [sic] in the great country of Great Britain is defeated

Dozens of political parties are registered every year in the United Kingdom, with most either fighting small, local elections or doing nothing at all. It is unclear who is behind the new “Party of Islam” or if they intend to contest national elections.

The House Committee on Homeland Security has found that 95.8 percent of illegal aliens who requested appointments through the mobile app launched by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for immigrants in recent months were released into the U.S. on parole with a Notice to Appear (NTA).

That translates to more than 266,000 out of more than 278,000 illegals who requested appointments through the CBP One app from Jan. 12 to Sept. 30, based on documents provided to the committee by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Biden White House Expected to Issue Executive Order on AI Monday

The Biden White House will issue an executive order on Monday in an early effort to regulate the AI industry, per reports.

Axios reports that the White House will host an event on ensuring “safe, secure and trustworthy artificial intelligence” at 2:30 pm eastern time on Monday, during which an executive order on the industry is expected to be announced.

The event comes shortly before Vice President Kamala Harris (named “AI Czar” by the Biden administration earlier this year) and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo are set to appear in the United Kingdom for an international summit on AI.

The autumn pullback in the stock market worsened Friday, pushing the S&P 500 into a correction and to its worst two-week decline of the year.

The broad stock-market gauge wavered for much of the day before turning lower and losing 0.5% for the session, bringing it down more than 10% from its recent high.

A drop in shares of Chevron and JPMorgan Chase helped send the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 367 points, or 1.1%, to its lowest closing level since March.
