no major water storage projects for last 50+ years as population has exploded...
the real reason for the deficiency...
droughts in the west are ‘normal’ climate feature...
conveniently nearby Southern California Cadiz mega-aquifer (100-year supply under Mojave desert) project has been hamstrung with endless federal & state litigation since Obama... despite environmental studies indicating no environmental harm realized from utilization of the resource which will eventually self-deplete through evaporation.
public policy aimed to rid California of its citizens, rather than reasonable plan to increase water security.
So much going on, hard to digest.
