Russia responds to Zelensky’s Ukraine referendum proposal

Putting the peace terms up for a popular vote in Ukraine will harm the negotiations, Russia has said 

Russia has said that a proposal from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to put the terms of a possible peace deal up for a referendum will only hurt ongoing talks, aimed at ending the conflict between the two countries. Moscow launched a military attack on its neighbor late last month.

“We're convinced that putting [the terms] before the public at this moment can only undermine the negotiations that are already going a lot slower and are less substantial than we want them to be,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

The peace talks are progressing step by step despite difficulties, the Ukrainian president says 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky gave a video address on Wednesday morning in which he spoke about the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

“Difficult? Yes, very. Sometimes scandalous, but we are moving forward step by step,” he said, adding that peace talks are conducted almost every day.

US & NATO See Signs Belarus To "Soon" Join War In Ukraine 

Speculation over just how deeply involved Lukashenko's Belarus is in Russia's military operations in Ukraine has been a constant since the war kicked off just under a month ago. After Russia amassed tens of thousands of troops within Belarussian territory for what was dubbed "training exercises" - those same units invaded Ukraine, clearly with the pre-authorization of Lukashenko.

And now CNN reports, based on US and NATO defense officials, that Belarus is expected to "soon" join the war in a formal capacity, sending tanks and troops to assist the Russians, who by many accounts are loosing more troops and equipment than expected at this stage. 

Russia Vows to Block Transfer of S-300 Missile System to Ukraine, Says Targeting Arms Shipments ‘Fair Game’ 

Russia has reiterated its threat to target arms shipments to Ukraine, with foreign minister Sergey Lavrov saying Friday that any cargo believed to be carrying weapons are “fair game” while vowing to block the transfer of Soviet-era S-300 air defense systems to Kyiv.

“Any cargo moving into Ukrainian territory which we would believe is carrying weapons would be fair game,” Lavrov said in an interview with Russia Today.

Slovakia has said that it is ready to send its S-300 system to Ukraine “immediately” provided that it receives a replacement to protect its own airspace.

The US Senate passed a bipartisan $1.5 trillion bill on March 10th that included $13.6 billion in aid to Ukraine.

Chuck Schumer touted the aid to Ukraine and pointed to it as a pressing reason for the Senate to quickly pass the massive $1.5 trillion spending bill. This was the same week that inflation hit 7.9% in the US — the highest inflation rate in 40 years.

After a surge in COVID cases caused by the BA.2 Omicron sub-variant, Austria is set to re-impose mask mandates that were dropped just two weeks ago.

And there you were thinking the technocrats had finally let it go.

Mask mandates in every area of the country apart from the capital Vienna were lifted as part of the general continent-wide trend of finally learning to “live with COVID.”

That included ending the requirement for Austrians to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to enter most premises. 

Pfizer recalls drugs that could cause cancer

Company pulls drugs aimed at treating heart attacks and strokes over nitrosamine contamination 

The drug company Pfizer announced Monday it was recalling several lots of its drug Accuretic along with two generic versions, citing unacceptably high levels of a substance that US regulators said could cause cancer. People who used the blood pressure drugs to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attacks were advised to find alternatives. 

Several “tainted” lots of Accuretic and two authorized generic versions of the drug (quinapril HCl/hydrochlorothiazide) distributed by Greenstone were found to have levels of N-nitroso-quinapril above the Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) set by US regulators, Pfizer said in a statement. The company provided lot numbers and other information to identify the bad lots of the drugs.

The clip shared by Reuters Tuesday morning gives a better idea of the mass destruction caused by cyclones in cities across Central Texas and Eastern Oklahoma, showing rows of houses literally ripped apart by the storm.

The system, which has already snuffed out the life of one Texas woman and has injured dozens of others, is now moving east across the Lone Star State toward Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center say, where it may possibly trigger 'a regional severe weather outbreak.'   

The UN Is Warning That We Are Heading Into The Worst Global Food Crisis Since World War 2 

The executive director of the UN’s World Food Program is saying that we are now facing “a catastrophe on top of a catastrophe”.  Unfortunately, he is not exaggerating.  The global price of food was skyrocketing even before the war on the other side of the globe erupted, and now many of the countries that are extremely dependent on agricultural exports from Ukraine and Russia are going to have to turn elsewhere for answers. 

Meanwhile, severe drought is threatening production in the other major “breadbasket” of the world.  We are being warned that the winter wheat harvest in the U.S. could be “disastrous” this year, and that is very unwelcome news.  Because if some sort of a miracle does not happen, we will soon see hunger and famine on a scale that once would have been unimaginable to many people.

DEVELOPING: Large tornado strikes New Orleans, Dangerous situation unfolding 

The city of New Orleans was struck by a tornado Tuesday evening and live footage of the storm was shown on local television while other images were shared on social media by the city’s residents.

A tornado warning was issued for Northwestern St. Bernard and Orleans Parishes when at 7:32 p.m. the National Weather Service in Slidell reported a confirmed “large and extremely dangerous tornado” over Arabi, near Chalmette, moving at 45 mph.

Ukrainian refugees are refusing free COVID jabs from German gov’t  

Many Ukrainians arriving in Germany after fleeing their country now fear 'forced vaccinations.'

BERLIN (LifeSiteNews) — Ukrainian refugees are refusing German government incentives to receive free COVID-19 vaccines. 

As reported in the German press, Ukrainian refugees are not responding very enthusiastically to the German government’s offers of free vaccination against COVID-19. 

“Unfortunately, it seems the refugees aren’t exactly snatching the vaccines out of our hands,” said Marcus König, the mayor of Nuremberg in an interview with Bavarian channel Bayerischer Rundfunk.  

Indeed, Ukraine has one of the lowest vaccination rates in Europe with only 35% of the population being double jabbed. Even that number could be an overestimation, however, as official data indicates that a large proportion of Ukrainian COVID certificates are forgeries.  

Federal judge blocks DC law allowing kids to get vaccinated without parental consent 

A federal judge temporarily blocked the District of Columbia from enforcing a law that would have allowed children to get vaccinated without the knowledge of their parents, ruling the law violated parents' religious liberties.

The law in question, the Minor Consent for Vaccinations Amendment Act of 2020, allows children as young as 11 years old to be vaccinated so long as a provider deems them capable of informed consent. 

The decision, issued Friday, comes as health officials debate the merits of recommending additional COVID-19 booster shots, and as regulators and drug companies continue to analyze clinical evidence for COVID-19 vaccines for children under 5 years old. 

Disney Launches Campaign to Promote Sex Change Surgeries for Children 

Disney is launching a campaign to promote life-altering sex-change surgeries for children and is vowing to "take action" against anyone who tries to protect minors from undergoing transgender medical proceedures.

Sources reportedly told The Daily Wire that Disney leadership announced the plan during a company-wide meeting with staffers on Monday.

The company's leaders told staffers that they will be "taking action"against Texas over the state’s order to investigate sex-change operations on children as child abuse.

The meeting was led by Disney CEO Bob Chapek.
