I suggest the most important and most impactful account of looming disaster in todays Headline News is the food shortage story. Food has been used to control populations for eons, and the serial outages in the western world foretell impending famine. Most of the world suffers food shortages, at best, and repeated devastation from famine. The west has congratulated itself for reducing famine to pockets of poverty, with the productive majority enjoying bountiful tables. That's about to end. The reaction will be deadly for many.
