Last week, Saskatchewan made headlines for becoming the first Canadian province to announce an end to vaccine passports (effective Feb. 14) and masking mandates (effective March 1).
Speculation has occurred as to whether the ongoing nationwide trucker convoy protests that began in Ottawa played a part in Premier Scott Moe’s decision to lift restrictions, but either way, the announcement was certainly welcomed by supporters of the convoy.

Truck loaded with firearms stolen in Peterborough Sunday, police source says
A truck loaded with firearms and magazines was stolen in Peterborough early Sunday morning, a police source confirms.
Peterborough Police Service told the Star there had been a theft and that a press release with details would be coming later on Sunday.
When it finally did come, very few details were included and a detective assigned to the case would not comment further, despite publicly-posted recordings of what appear to be police dispatches detailing the theft.

Saying that major Ukrainian cities are "under safe protection,"Zelensky suggested that a visit of the US president in person would stop the spread of panic and prevent escalation. "I am convinced that your visit to Kyiv in the coming days... would be a powerful signal and help stabilize the situation," Zelensky was quoted as saying in the call.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to meet with his ministers of defense and foreign affairs on Monday, the Kremlin has announced, without revealing the agenda for the talks.
Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov shared the timing of the appointment with journalists earlier the same day, adding that “we will show you the meetings, they will be available to you.”
Asked whether the Russian leader would be making public Moscow’s response to Western proposals on security guarantees, issued earlier this year, Peskov replied, “let’s wait for the meetings, and then it will become clear what they’re about. There’s no need to get ahead of ourselves.”

Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK was “taken out of context” when he suggested that Kiev may officially end its goal to join NATO as a means of averting war with Russia, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said.
In a statement on Monday, ministry spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko attempted to cover for Ambassador Vadim Prystaiko, whose comments were reported on Sunday night as a significant revelation. Ukraine’s goal to join NATO is enshrined in the country’s constitution, and the ambassador’s comments could therefore be seen as unconstitutional.

New infrared image shows ‘swarm’ of flashing ‘Tic-Tac shaped’ UFOs chasing four US Navy destroyers off California coast
A newly released infrared image showed a ‘swarm’ of three ‘Tic-Tac shaped’ UFOs chasing four U.S. Navy destroyers off the coast of California. The grainy image has been released by the Navy and shows what appears to be three small dots, representing unmanned aerial systems (UAS), hovering near the USS Paul Hamilton.
It was one of the many occurrences Naval ships saw over the course of weeks, as many destroyers spotted these contraptions in July 2019. These three UAS appeared near the ship around 8 pm on July 17 shortly after the USS Paul Hamilton cut location broadcasting via the Automatic Identification System (AIS). Ships are not required to broadcast their location 24/7 and usually disable the transponder in situations that call for heightened security.
