Russian general in charge of Ukraine operation speaks out

Sergey Surovikin described the situation as “tense” and has not ruled out that he might have to make difficult decisions

Army General Sergey Surovikin on Tuesday spoke to the media for the first time since assuming overall command of the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine. 

Describing the situation as particularly “tense” around the city of Kherson in his statement to the broadcaster Rossiya-24, he added that the military may be forced to make “difficult decisions.”

“The NATO command of the armed forces of Ukraine has long been demanding offensive operations in the Kherson direction from the Kiev regime, regardless of any casualties – both in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and among the civilian population,” Surovikin stated.

A relocation of civilians from the battle zone was announced by Vladimir Saldo, the caretaker governor of the new Russian region of Kherson, on Tuesday. The move comes amid a new looming Ukrainian offensive and potential attempts by Kiev to destroy the dam of a local hydroelectric power plant, the governor explained.

“There is an immediate danger of flooding in the territories due to the planned destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam and release of water from a cascade of power plants upstream of the Dnepr River,” Saldo said.

'Powerful explosions' behind Nord Stream leaks, Danish police say

World leaders have called the damages an act of sabotage but it still remains unclear who might be behind the detonations.

A preliminary investigation of damages to the two Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Danish part of the Baltic Sea shows that the leaks were caused by "powerful explosions," Copenhagen Police said on Tuesday.

Swedish and Danish authorities are investigating four holes in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which link Russia and Germany via the Baltic Sea and have become a flashpoint in the Ukraine crisis.

North Korea fires artillery near border

South Korea’s military says around 250 shells were fired toward the buffer zone

North Korea has fired hundreds of artillery rounds into the sea near an established buffer zone with the South, calling the move a “grave warning” to Seoul after it launched major military exercises set to continue through the week.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said Pyongyang launched around 100 shells off its west coast and another 150 from the east on Tuesday, noting that they landed outside of its territorial waters, but within a maritime boundary established in 2018 to avoid incidents between the two sides.

Mysterious GPS Disruptions Spread In Texas Near Fort Hood

GPS interference in Texas has spread from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area to now east and west regions of Waco, Texas. 

One area west of Waco with high levels of GPS interference is butting up against America's third-largest military base, Fort Hood. 

GPS interference is being reported around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area airports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The first reports of signal degradation occurred about 24 hours ago.

Northern Ireland would be unaffected because its electricity grid is shared with the Republic of Ireland.

Rabbi in Israel claims he is already holding meetings with the awaited “Messiah”

A recent interview on Israeli radio featured prominent rabbis explaining that the Messiah is just about to reveal himself.
