Curious that the Russians are marking a 'Z' on their tanks. Maybe it means "За победу" which is pronounced "za pobedu" which means "for the victory", but 'Z' doesn't appear in the Cyrillic alphabet. Even if we are trying to stretch into phonetics for English speaking, why emphasize the preposition and not the noun? It seems the 'Z' may be pointing to the movie World War Z which is about an epidemic and bioweapons.
