Like the regular Hondurans (not the ones from wealthy families or the tiny middle class) when I lived in Honduras, who were fatalistic and beaten down. I would ask one what is your price for performing this job ( I.E. helping move some stuff) "whatever you want". I would ask them, well…

They would repeat, whatever you think.
There is a peculiar acceptance that we are being culled and in a sense it's like being led to the guillotine.

There is no, this can't be done to us, we are humans with dignity and rights that no one can take.
