Hostilities have been raging around Gaza Strip for the third day with the death toll reportedly rising over one thousand from both sided of the conflict.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold an urgent meeting with the Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit in Moscow on Monday in order to discuss the escalation around the Gaza Strip and a possible solution for the crisis.

The death toll from Saturday’s Hamas terror attack rose to over 700 dead. At least 2,000 were injured.

At least 260 young people were slaughtered at the Dance Party near Kibbutz Urim (Kibbutz Reim) in southern Israel. Hundreds of Israelis were attending a nature party, also described as a peace party, in the desert near the border on Saturday when Hamas launched its attack.

Chaos erupted after Hamas reportedly opened fire on the gathering. Hundreds of Israelis ran into the desert to hide.

That speculation has been all but validated moments ago when the WSJ reported that "Iranian security officials helped plan Hamas’s Saturday surprise attack on Israel and gave the green light for the assault at a meeting in Beirut last Monday", according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah, another Iran-backed militant group.

Tehran has denied accusations that it helped Palestinian militants to plan the surprise attack on Israel that was launched on Saturday morning.

The US has warned third parties from attempting to interfere in the escalated conflict between Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has revealed.

The warning has in particular been extended to the Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah, Blinken told CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday. Its main goal is to ensure that Israel doesn’t face problems on any other fronts, the top diplomat explained.

US Sends Warships, Aircraft Carrier To Israel For Potential 'Support' Operations

NBC's Pentagon correspondent is reporting that the US military is dispatching navy warships as well as an aircraft carrier to waters off Israeli as part of "support" operations.

"The US military is planning to move US Navy ships and US military aircraft closer to Israel as a show of support, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the planning," NBC's Courtney Kube writes. "Movements could start immediately but all the assets will not be in place for several days."
