US House Removes McCarthy From Speakership in Historic Vote

Over the weekend, Congress narrowly passed a continuing resolution funding the government for another 45 days, to give more time to debate a series of spending bills that form the 2024 budget.

After a vote of 216 to 210, the US House of Representatives on Tuesday removed US Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as speaker of the House. It was the first time the lower chamber voted on vacating the speaker’s office in 113 years and the first time it has ever succeeded.

Hannity is reporting that “some House Republicans have been in contact” with President Trump and that they have started an effort to push for DJT as the next Speaker. And there are reports that Trump might be interested.

Sean Hannity: “Sources are telling me at this hour, some House Republicans have been in contact with and have started an effort to draft former President Donald Trump to be the next Speaker. And, I have been told that President Trump might be open to helping the Republican Party, at least in the short term, if necessary.”

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), has announced a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), as reported by The Gateway Pundit last month.

The test is scheduled for tomorrow, October 4, at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET and will involve sending test messages to all TVs, radios, and cell phones in the United States. The announcement was made through an official press release on FEMA’s website.

Ukrainian commando raid on Crimea repelled – MOD

Kiev’s troops attempted to infiltrate the Russian peninsula from the sea, the Defense Ministry has said

The Russian Air Force has foiled an attempt by Ukrainian commandos to land in Crimea, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday morning. 

According to the MOD, a Ukrainian unit was heading towards Cape Tarkhankut on the western edge of the peninsula. The commandos were traveling on a military motor boat and three jet skis. A Russian naval base and several airfields are located in Crimea. 

No weapons left for Ukraine in Europe – Politico

Kiev wants “self-sufficiency” as arms supplies dwindle, but will need billions in Western aid to fund it, the news outlet has said

EU countries have given Ukraine all the arms they can without compromising their own defense, Politico has reported, citing a European official. Kiev is facing cuts to both arms supplies and cash injections as “cracks appear” in Western support, according to the outlet.

“We cannot keep on giving from our own stockpiles,” the European source said as quoted on Monday. There may still be robust political support, but “we’ve given everything that will not endanger our own security.”

Germany preparing to send thousands of troops to Russian border state

Defense Minister Boris Pistorius earlier announced that a 4,000-strong brigade would be created in Lithuania next year

Germany and Lithuania are working on creating a road map for the deployment of a brigade of German soldiers to the Baltic state, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced in an interview with the news outlet ERR on Monday.

The minister announced several weeks ago that Berlin planned to send as many as 4,000 troops to Lithuania, which already houses around 1,500 German troops as part of a NATO battlegroup.

France offers weapons to Armenia

The promise of military assistance comes after Azerbaijan reclaimed the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh

Paris will deliver unspecified military equipment to Yerevan, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said on Tuesday while visiting Armenia. She declined to give any details of the arrangement.

“France has given its agreement to the conclusion of future contracts with Armenia which will allow the delivery of military equipment to Armenia so that it can ensure its defense,” Colonna said, according to France 24 news network.

India Asks Canada to Withdraw 41 Diplomats

India has reportedly asked Canada to withdraw 41 diplomats from the country to maintain parity in diplomatic strength. India has stationed around 20 diplomats in Canada, compared to more than 60 Canadians stationed in India. New Delhi has reportedly threatened to revoke their diplomatic immunity unless they leave by next week.

Poland, Austria, & Czechia Introduce Temporary Border-Checks With Slovakia To Curb Illegal Migration

Poland, Austria and Czechia will all introduce random checks at the countries’ borders with Slovakia from midnight on Wednesday following an influx of illegal immigration. Temporary checks will be conducted along the length of the border for an initial 10-day period until Oct. 13.

They will focus specifically on road and railway border crossings, although, pedestrians and cyclists may also be asked for documentation. Anyone within the vicinity of the border may be requested to identify themselves.

The captain of the Chinese PLA Navy submarine '093-417' is understood to be among the deceased, as were 21 other officers. Officially, China has denied the incident took place. It also appears Beijing refused to request international assistance for its stricken submarine.

Survey reveals most Americans WON’T get new COVID-19 booster shots

According to a survey published by the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF), many Americans are not interested in getting the latest Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) booster shot.

The survey revealed that only 23 percent of Americans will "definitely" get the new COVID-19 booster shot, while 33 percent said they "definitely" don’t plan to do so. Meanwhile, another 23 percent said that they will probably get the new booster while 19 percent said they likely will not.

In accordance with the new Online Safety Act, also known as the United Kingdom's censorship law, Warren Thornton, who runs the podcast "The Real Truth," was in the midst of streaming on September 24 when police officers in Bristol showed up at his door and demanded entry in order to speak with him. For the apparent crime of spreading "misinformation" about the situation in Ukraine, Thornton was hauled off by the cops and will presumably now be charged with some kind of "crime" for his disobedient speech.

CCTV images from shoplifting, burglary and theft investigations in the UK should be compared against Home Office passport and immigration databases with facial recognition, Police Minister Chris Philp says according to the Daily Mail.

There are no legal restrictions to keep the government data from being used in criminal investigation, Philp said during the Conservative party conference. The College of Policing also said in August that police in England and Wales will be directed to consider all potential evidence to find suspects or stolen property.
