Israel and Hamas agree to extend Gaza truce by two days, say US, Qatar

Israel and Hamas agreed to extend a temporary truce in the Gaza Strip by two days on Monday, Qatar and the US confirmed, likely paving the way for the release of some 20 more people held hostage by the Palestinian terror group.

Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said on X on Monday evening that the sides had reached a deal to extend the pause for an additional two days.

Musk later in the day said it was "it was jarring to see the scene of the massacre."

Hamas is willing to negotiate over the release of captive soldiers, the terrorist organization said on Monday. The subject has not yet been included in ceasefire discussions, however, and different conditions would be attached to the release of soldiers than those regarding civilians. 

This would be a major step by the terrorist organization that perpetrated the October 7 massacre, as international pressure is far more focused on the release of civilians than it is of IDF soldiers.

Hamas Official: We Kidnapped Foreign Nationals For ‘Their Own Protection’

Hamas official Hisham Qasem spouted a new propaganda talking point for the terrorist group this week, claiming that Hamas terrorists had kidnapped Thai nationals “for their own protection” during their October 7 attack on Israel.

Qasem’s remarks come after Hamas terrorists murdered 39 Thai nationals during their attack and took an unknown number hostage.

The group targeted the utility provider because it was using technology made in Israel. The group threatened more attacks on U.S. infrastructure targets that use Israeli based technology.
