Navy ships, fighter jets fight off latest Houthi attack in the Red Sea
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Yemen’s Houthi rebels fired a barrage of drones and missiles targeting ships in the Red Sea late Tuesday, though the U.S. said Wednesday that no damage was reported.
The U.S. military’s Central Command said the “complex attack” launched by the Houthis included bomb-carrying drones, cruise missiles and one anti-ship ballistic missile.

The spike in violence comes despite efforts by the international community to keep the fighting across Israel’s northern border from escalating into a full-blown conflict.
IDF strikes Hezbollah targets in Lebanon
An IAF fighter jet attacked an area where terrorist infrastructure and a military structure belonging to Hezbollah were being built Wednesday morning, the IDF said.
In addition, on Tuesday night, an air force fighter jet attacked a military headquarters in the area of Kfar Shuba, Lebanon.

Prince Khalid bin Bandar, the Saudi ambassador to the UK, told the BBC in a radio interview that Riyadh is still open to establishing ties with the Jewish state as long as it is part of an overall two-state solution.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was treated for prostate cancer in early December and was hospitalized last week for complications from the procedure, the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center revealed on Tuesday. The hospital stay was kept secret from both the White House and the American public for several days.
The Pentagon first mentioned Austin’s absence last Friday, telling reporters he had resumed his duties.

A dystopian brain chip has been developed by scientists to stop monkeys from taking risks.
Researchers at Kyoto University in Japan used light flashes from the chip to speak to different parts of the brains in macaques. A tendency to take bigger risks was triggered by turning on the light on one side of the brain, while flashing the other led to the monkeys settling for lower risk and reward.

Funny because the rest of us recall a lot about the pandemic, right? Fauci was testified to the U.S. House of Representatives Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. He was accompanied by two personal lawyers and two government (taxpayer funded) lawyers. He was asked about mask mandates, lockdowns and pre-pandemic research that may have led to the creation of the Covid-19 virus. Dr. Fauci’s testimony will continue today in private but he will reportedly testify again publicly at a future date.
