US defense chief Austin hints major strike on Iranian proxies imminent
Secretary of defense says time has come for unprecedented action against militias’ capabilities after servicemen killed in Jordan, repeated Houthi attacks in Red Sea
AP — US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Thursday it’s time to further disable Iran-backed militias that have struck at US forces and ships in the Middle East and the United States is preparing to take significant action in response to the deaths of three of its service members in Jordan. For days, the US has hinted strikes are imminent. While the threat of retaliation for Sunday’s deaths has driven some militant groups to say they were stopping hostilities, as late as Thursday, Yemen’s Houthi rebels were still attacking vessels and fired a ballistic missile at a Liberian-flagged container ship in the Red Sea.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards pull officers from Syria following alleged Israeli strikes
Iranian casualties in a string of recent attacks reportedly induce Tehran to rely more on local Shia groups to maintain country’s influence; remaining officers keeping low profile
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have scaled back deployment of their senior officers in Syria due to a spate of deadly strikes blamed on Israel and will rely more on allied Shiite groups to preserve their sway there, five sources familiar with the matter said. The Guards have suffered one of their most bruising spells in Syria since arriving a decade ago to aid President Bashar Assad in the Syrian war. Since December, the alleged Israeli strikes have killed more than half a dozen of their members, among them one of the Guards’ top intelligence generals.

An explosion was reported near a ship off the Red Sea coast of Yemen, British maritime security agency UKMTO said Thursday, adding that both the vessel and crew were safe. “Master reports an explosion a distance off the vessel’s starboard side” west of the port city of Hodeida, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said, adding that “vessel and crew are safe and proceeding to the next port of call.”
'IRGC Is Getting Out Of Dodge': Biden Has Telegraphed Syria-Iraq Response Too Much
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in a Thursday press briefing claimed that "Our soldiers were killed by Iranian agents," in reference to the weekend drone attack on a Jordanian base which killed three American troops. It is now being widely reported that the Pentagon will launch multiple days of airstrikes on 'Iranian targets' and assets in Syria and Iraq.
Biden admin officials in the last two days have been leaking to the press information about the scope of operations. But Iran hawks aren't happy, saying this level of telegraphing has given Iranian and IRGC officers ample time and opportunity to vacate their bases.
Israel defeats Hamas in Khan Yunis, over 10,000 Gazan terrorists killed
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that after additional gains by the IDF in Khan Yunis, 10,000 Hamas fighters have been killed and 10,000 wounded.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced on Thursday night that Hamas forces in Khan Yunis have been officially defeated. He said that after additional gains by the IDF in Khan Yunis, 10,000 Hamas fighters have been killed and 10,000 wounded, up from around 9,000 killed and around 8,000 wounded around a week and a half ago. If true, along with the close to 2,500 Hamas terrorists who have been arrested, the percentage of Hamas forces out of commission would now be up to between 56-75%, up from 48-64% around 10 days ago, presuming Hamas' forces pre-war were between 30,000-40,000.

Qatar ‘optimistic’ after receiving ‘initial positive confirmation’ from terror group on hostage agreement, but source close to Hamas says Qatari statement was ‘rushed and not true’
Hamas has given “initial positive confirmation” to a proposal for the cessation of fighting in Gaza and the release of hostages, Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesman asserted Thursday, but the Palestinian terror group swiftly denied doing so. “That proposal has been approved by the Israeli side and now we have an initial positive confirmation from the Hamas’ side,” Majed al-Ansari told an audience at a Washington-based graduate school. “There is still a very tough road in front of us.”

"We have a deal," European Council President Charles Michel announced on X Thursday, declaring that all 27 European Union countries have finally agreed to the additional 50-billion-euro ($54bn) aid package for Ukraine, which was under threat of Hungarian veto.
The unanimous approval "locks in steadfast, long-term, predictable funding for Ukraine" and further demonstrates the "EU is taking leadership and responsibility in support for Ukraine; we know what is at stake," Michel said. Putin Envisages Building A New Veteran-Led Russian Elite
The Russian leader knows the “new guard” of veterans haven’t been tainted by a life’s worth of Western-leaning sympathies unlike most of the “old guard” political and economic elite, whose naivete about the West led to them misleading him about its intentions and thus played role in the events leading up to the special operation.
President Putin shared his vision of a new veteran-led Russian elite in late January when meeting with ministers and top St. Petersburg officials according to RT’s report about their conversation

The two countries have pledged to collaborate in confronting threats posed by the Pentagon’s “biological activities”
The Russian and Chinese governments have held an inter-agency meeting in Beijing to share their assessments of biological security concerns, and address the threats posed by bioweapons – particularly those allegedly being developed by the US military.
Moscow and Beijing agreed to work together in seeking to strengthen the Biological and Toxic Weapons Convention (BTWC), a treaty signed by 109 nations in 1972 to block the development of these unconventional armaments, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday in a statement.
IMF Approves New Funds for Milei’s Argentina, Praises Ambitious Plans, Recognizes ‘Difficult Inheritance’ From Peronist Socialists
During the Presidential Elections campaign in Argentina, it was enraging to see the no-nonsense mainstream economic theories of the economist Javier Milei treated like ‘radical and dangerous ideas’, while the socialist-Peronists, whose idiotic policies put 40% of the country below the poverty line treated like ‘the sensible choice’.
So while I may not be the greatest fan of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), it is a welcome development that they openly and unambiguously support the heroic struggle by Milei to rebuild the destroyed Argentine economy.

Rubber bullets and water cannons were deployed against hundreds of European farmers protesting outside the EU Parliament building in Brussels on Thursday. The farmers threw eggs, set off fireworks, and started fires near the building while demanding that European leaders stop punishing them with more taxes and rising costs imposed to finance a so-called 'green agenda.'
The protests coincide with a Thursday summit of EU leaders, with the farmers calling on them to scrap agricultural and environmental regulations implemented by leadership in Brussels.
Russia changes mandatory Covid-19 vaccination rules
Health and education workers will no longer have to take regular shots against the virus
The Russian Health Ministry has significantly relaxed its requirements for compulsory vaccination against Covid-19, declaring most people will no longer have to regularly take shots against the disease. The previous regulations, adopted by the ministry in 2021, demanded almost everyone undergo a mandatory vaccination in case of an epidemic threat, with health and education workers given “top priority” on this list, along with those suffering from chronic diseases, the elderly, and anyone living in cities with a population exceeding one million.
Under the new rules, only those that have never been vaccinated against Covid-19 or contracted the disease itself – as well as those suffering from chronic lung or heart diseases, HIV, or tuberculosis – and the elderly will have to take a mandatory shot.
Russia Begins Building 15-Minute Cities
A new Russian city called Dobrograd is being built in the Vladimir Region of Russia. It is being built according to the concept of a 15-minute city, where everything necessary for a person to survive is within a 15-minute walking distance.
Judging by the information on the website, construction of this has been underway for a year already. These cities are nothing short of enslavement. And yet the public at large still hasn’t figured out what the ruling classes are doing to them and Dobrograd is not the only one, according to a Substack article by Redko Da Metko.
‘A Very Dangerous Medical Experiment’: CDC Expands Vaccine Schedules for Kids, Pregnant Women and Most Adults
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published its 2024 vaccine schedules, which include at least 76 total doses of 18 vaccines for children 0-18. Experts criticized the expanded schedule for the lack of safety or efficacy testing of vaccines.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending more vaccines and vaccine doses across the board for children, pregnant women and adults, according to the agency’s 2024 immunization schedule. The updated schedule triggered a flurry of news and reactions in recent days. However, the CDC released the updated schedule in September — months earlier than usual, to speed up insurance payments for newly recommended vaccines, the American Academy of Pediatrics reported.

8 Signs That Demonstrate How Truly Bizarre Our Society Is Becoming
In “The Wizard of Oz”, at one point Dorothy tells her dog that she has “a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore”. She had been dropped in a strange new world that was crazier than anything she had ever imagined. Needless to say, many of us feel the exact same way. We’re not in the America that we grew up in anymore. Instead, we now live in a country that appears to be a cross between a really bad science fiction movie and a freak show. Sadly, the pace of change has now reached an exponential rate, and things will get even more insane during the years that are ahead of us. The following are 8 signs that demonstrate how truly bizarre our society is becoming…

It has offered £1.5m to security and defence companies for initial designs of a robotic defence system, with a view to commissioning a fully-fledged version in the future.
