Antony Blinken to visit Israel in Middle East trip next week

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to travel to the Middle East late next week to discuss the war in Gaza, Axios reported on Wednesday, citing five US, Israeli and Arab officials.

Axios reported that Blinken is planning to visit Israel, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Iran, Hamas Clash Over Motive for Oct. 7 Massacre

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a US-designated terrorist organization, said on Wednesday that Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre in southern Israel was revenge for the 2020 assassination of IRGC commander Qassem Soleimani in a US drone strike — a claim swiftly denied by Hamas.

An apparent explosive-laden drone believed to have been launched from Syria crashed in the southern Golan Heights Wednesday night, in an attack claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iran-backed paramilitary groups.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed near the moshav of Eliad in northern Israel, causing no injuries but some damage to a number of structures.

While it's become abundantly clear that Ukraine's situation is currently dire and that Russian forces are winning the war amid Kiev's severe manpower and ammo shortage, this wasn't quite as evident back in March, when Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Moscow for rare talks as the war unfolded.

Multiple Financial Executives Commit Suicide Amid China's Financial Crisis

As the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) continues to purge its financial system, state media recently revealed that a number of bank executives have committed suicide or died suddenly.

According to the authorities of Yingshan County, Hubei Province, Wang Shengyong, the president of the Yangtze River Village Bank in the county, died of carbon monoxide poisoning on Dec. 5 at the age of 54 years old. It was reported that Wang committed suicide after using his position to defraud depositors of 40 million yuan (about $5.6 million) under the guise of capital raising.

North Korea's Kim orders military to accelerate war preparations - state media

North Korea leader Kim Jong Un has ordered his country's military, munitions industry and nuclear weapons sector to accelerate war preparations to counter what he called unprecedented confrontational moves by the US, state media said on Thursday. Speaking on the policy directions for the new year at a key meeting of the country's ruling party on Wednesday, Kim also said Pyongyang would expand strategic cooperation with "anti-imperialist independent" countries, news agency KCNA reported.

Michigan Supreme Court Rules to Keep Trump on 2024 Ballot

The Michigan Supreme Court handed a victory to the former president.

The Michigan Supreme Court has rejected an attempt to remove former President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot based on a reading of the insurrection clause within the U.S. Constitution's 14th Amendment.

The ruling, in an order posted on Dec. 27, starkly contrasts with a decision handed down last week by the Colorado Supreme Court that disqualified the former president from serving as president and removed him from the Colorado primary ballot; a 4–3 majority of judges argued that he was linked to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach.

The Democratic mayors of three sanctuary cities, Chicago, New York City, and Denver, warned their metro areas are quickly approaching a breaking point due to the ongoing surge of illegals bussed up from the southern border this year.

Biden State Department Shells Out Taxpayer Dollars To ‘Queer’ Muslim Writers In India

The State Department is providing financial support to a “queer” Muslim organization in India so it can provide “LGBTQI” people in the regions with a platform to write, according to a grant listing.

The grant was disbursed in September to Creating Resources for Empowerment and Action, a Soros-funded feminist group that advances “the sexual rights of all people,” and went on to fund the Queer Muslim Project, which is an “online platform for queer, Muslim and allied voices” based in India.

21 SPAC Companies Go Bust, Wiping out $46 Billion In Equity

An increasing number of startups that have merged with special purpose acquisition companies, or SPACs, are running out of cash and unable to raise new funds in a deteriorating macro environment with high interest rates. 

At least 21 companies that went public via SPACs filed for bankruptcy this year, wiping out $46 billion in total equity, according to Bloomberg data. Some of the largest bankruptcies were WeWork, Lordstown Motors, and Virgin Orbit.

A peaceful Christmas Day turned grim at Grand Central Terminal when two tourists, girls aged 14 and 16 from South America, were unexpectedly stabbed while eating.

California to hand out fines to major retail stores who fail to have a ‘gender neutral’ kids toy section

California stores with more than 500 employees will soon be fined for not having a “gender-neutral” toy section once a new state law kicks in Jan. 1.

The bill, signed in 2021 by Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom, will force stores that sell childcare items or toys to pay a $500 fine should the store fail to create a gender-neutral toy section for kids 12 years old and under. A childcare item, according to the legislation text, “means any product designed or intended by the manufacturer to facilitate sleep, relaxation, or the feeding of children, or to help children with sucking or teething.”

Sexual identity list continues to grow with introduction of ‘Abrosexual’

“Abrosexual” is a relatively new sexual preference term that could require an editorial explanation according to the United Kingdom media outlet Metro.

Emma Flint, a freelance journalist, wrote an op-ed for Metro’s “Platform” section, a portion of the website dedicated to “opinions, real life stories and analysis from experts in their field.” In the piece, she explained how she came out as “abrosexual” in 2020 only to be confronted by a close friend claiming that “this doesn’t sound real.”
