100 Container Ships Diverted, Insurance Surges As Red Sea Chaos Worsens

Global transport and logistics company Kuehne + Nagel International AG reports more than 100 container ships have been rerouted from the Red Sea around Africa to avoid Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen who attack commercial vessels with missiles and drones.

Bloomberg released two headlines early Wednesday detailing Kuehne + Nagel's update on the Red Sea. The logistics firm said 103 container ships have detoured around the Cape of Good Hope, lengthening travel time by 1 to 2 weeks. It expects the number of detours to rise in the coming days.  

Yemen's Houthis Reveal General Mobilization Action to Send Soldiers to Gaza

DOHA (Sputnik) - A general mobilization is being carried out in northern Yemen to send soldiers to the Gaza Strip if such an opportunity arises, member of the political office of Yemen's Ansar Allah rebel movement, also known as the Houthis, Houtham Assad told Sputnik on Wednesday.

"As for the general mobilization in support of our people in the Gaza Strip, it was launched in all provinces, training camps were opened, tens of thousands of young people volunteered to study military craft, several groups have already graduated in various provinces of Yemen," the official said.

Hamas rockets target Tel Aviv area

Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched a barrage of rockets at central Israel on Tuesday afternoon, setting off sirens in Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, Jaffa, Rishon LeTsiyon, Ramat Gan and other cities and towns across the Gush Dan and Shfela regions. It was the first rocket-fire on the area in over a week. There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.

Fatal mistake: IDF soldiers never received intel that hostages were likely in Shejaia

Had the information been passed on, soldiers would likely have had a clearer picture of the situation. 

By the time IDF soldiers mistakenly killed three Israeli hostages in Gaza, a commander in the effort to locate hostages had informed the Southern Command and other relevant bodies that the three men appeared to be together and in the Shejaia area, in which the incident took place. 

The assessment was that they were still in Hamas captivity, but the notice was intended to make it known to IDF forces that they were operating in an area where there may be hostages. 

Israel tells Qatar that they're ready for week-long truce for 40 hostages

At a meeting in Warsaw with Mossad head David Barnea and CIA head Bill Burns, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman said that Hamas's condition on the renewal of negotiations is the cessation of the war.

Hamas announced Wednesday morning that the leader of its political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, had arrived in Cairo to conduct talks with Egyptian officials on the latest developments in the war in Gaza and on “other files,” according to a statement released by the Palestinian terror group.

The talks have been widely reported to be set to focus on a possible ceasefire or truce in the Israel-Hamas war and a deal to release hostages held in Gaza in exchange for Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli jails.

UN vote on Gaza delayed another day amid talks to avoid US veto

A United Nations Security Council vote on a bid to boost aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip has been delayed by another day as talks continue to try and avoid a third US veto of action over the two-month-long Israel-Hamas war, diplomats said on Tuesday.

The 15-member council was initially going to vote on a resolution - drafted by the United Arab Emirates - on Monday. But it has repeatedly been delayed as diplomats say the UAE and the US struggle to agree on language, citing a cessation of hostilities and a proposal to set up UN aid monitoring.

The director of Gaza’s Kamal Adwan hospital in Jabaliya has revealed in a Shin Bet interrogation that his northern Gaza hospital was turned into a military facility under Hamas’s control and that at one point, it had housed a kidnapped soldier.

In footage published on Tuesday by the Shin Bet and Israel Defense Forces, hospital director Ahmed Kahlot could be seen telling an Israeli interrogator that Hamas had offices inside the hospital and used it as a base for operational activity.

Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières), An Accomplice Of Hamas?

The public statements since October 7 of Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) and its employees, on the ground in Gaza, show a systematic bias in favor of Hamas and hostility to Israel. MSF has failed in its humanitarian purpose and violated its own charter, which proclaims "assistance... irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions."

MSF has been present in the Gaza Strip since 1989. It now plays a leading role there, with at least 300 staff members, and works closely with local hospitals on a number of projects, either directly or indirectly with the Hamas "Ministry of Health". MSF is often quoted by the international media and is seen by public opinion as an objective, neutral and independent observer of the conflict in the region.
