Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels took responsibility for the attack – but didn’t acknowledge targeting a US vessel
An American warship and multiple commercial vessels came under attack in the Red Sea on Sunday, the Pentagon said, in what is being seen as the latest in a series of maritime attacks on regional shipping routes linked to the Israel-Hamas war.
In a statement released by the Department of Defense, US officials did not immediately identify the source of Sunday’s attack.
The Israeli military said its soldiers were lightly injured when an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon hit a vehicle in the Beit Hillel area of northern Israel.
Eleven IDF soldiers and one Israeli civilian were wounded by a Hezbollah anti-tank missile on Sunday that struck a vehicle in the Beit Hillel area. IDF artillery hit the source of the fire, while other Hezbollah locations were struck by the air force.
According to doctors attending to the wounded Israelis, their injuries were light - yet the incident still marked one of the larger numbers of wounded Israelis in the North of the war for a single day.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday announced for the first time that not only are its air strikes extending to the south of the Gaza Strip, where the bulk of civilians from the north have fled, but it is expanding its ground operations to the whole of Gaza.
Following the collapse of the week-long truce on Friday, spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a press briefing, "The IDF is resuming and expanding the ground operation against Hamas’ strongholds across the whole Gaza Strip."
The security establishment is bracing for imminent military achievements against Hamas, which are expected to weaken the grip of both Sinwar and Mohammed Deif on their ground forces.
A senior security official, in a confidential briefing, shared insights on the escalated efforts to locate Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas. The official revealed, "There is a significant intelligence effort underway to track down Sinwar," emphasizing his misjudgment of the IDF's strength and his shock at recent military actions in Shifa.
Security forces are now focusing on the southern Gaza Strip, with an expectation that operations in areas like Khan Yunis and Rafah will be more effective than previous combat in northern Gaza.
Defense ministry warns of ‘serious’ threat of terrorism, says police resources have been stretched thin by public response to Israel’s war against Hamas
COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Denmark will deploy army units to protect Jewish and Israeli sites in Copenhagen in response to an increase in antisemitism in the wake of Hamas’s October 7 terror onslaught and the subsequent war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, government officials said Sunday.
“The conflict in the Middle East has led to an absolutely unacceptable increase in antisemitism and insecurity for Jews in Denmark,” Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard said.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in a fresh interview warned the Western alliance to brace for more "bad news" from Ukraine, according to Saturday remarks given to Germany's national ARD television.
He was asked whether he thinks the situation will worsen for Ukrainian forces in the future, after the counteroffensive has been widely acknowledged as a failure. "We should also be prepared for bad news," he responded. "Wars develop in phases. But we have to support Ukraine in both good and bad times."
The Ukrainian president fears top general Valery Zaluzhny’s popularity and is inserting politics into military aims, insiders have reportedly said
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is bypassing General Valery Zaluzhny, the country’s top military leader, to give orders directly to commanders, the Ukrainskaya Pravda news outlet reported on Monday, citing sources close to the leadership in Kiev.
Zaluzhny sometimes only learns of what the military is doing from his subordinates, the report claimed.
On Nov. 25, Russia launched some 75 drones at key military and infrastructure targets in Kyiv. As per usual, the Ukrainian military reported that its air defense systems had been incredibly successful—shooting down all but one of the drones (74 out of 75)—about a 98 percent kill rate.
But that feat is chump change compared to the claims made on May 16, 2023, by the commander-in-chief of Ukraine's armed forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, "that his forces had intercepted the six Kinzhal missiles launched from aircraft, as well as nine Kalibr cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea and three Iskanders fired from land," according to Reuters.
Biden faces mounting opposition in the Republican-controlled House, where a spate of lawmakers remain downbeat about the US’ continued assistance to the Kiev regime.
The White House is set to run out of money to provide more weapons to Ukraine "without congressional action" by the end of the year, Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young has warned.
European conservatives are skeptical of further spending on Ukraine and have vowed to reshape the Old Continent's politics after the forthcoming EU parliamentary elections where they are projected to take more seats. What could this mean for Kiev?
A recent €50 billion EU allocation for Ukraine is reportedly at risk as member states fail to reach an agreement on a common budget, according to the Financial Times.
Nearly half of those surveyed said they are ready for compromise in negotiations with Russia
Ukrainians are almost evenly split on how to proceed in the conflict with Russia, local media reported on Sunday, citing a survey conducted in November by the Rating group. According to the results of the poll, 44% of respondents said it was important to look for compromise in negotiations with Russia and that other countries should be brought into the process.
North Korea 'war on the Korean Peninsula is a matter of timing, not possibility' Threats of ‘complete annihilation’
On December 3rd, North Korea threatened, “Now, a physical clash and war on the Korean Peninsula is not a matter of possibility but a matter of timing.”A North Korean military commentator stated, “Our military is now free to conduct normal military activities without being bound by any agreement,” according to the Korean Central News Agency’s report on the same day.
North Korea claimed that the situation on the Korean Peninsula has severely worsened due to the suspension of some provisions of the 9·19 South-North Military Agreement by South Korea.
It could have been worse. King Charles could have ascended to his desert dais and pronounced that we had just 96 months to avert “irretrievable climate and ecosystem collapse”. But that was the Right Charlie back in 2009, giving us the benefit of his sandwich-board scientific wisdom. These days it is all fashionable bad weather and undefined “tipping points”. The man is now King, and at COP28 he threw away his irksome politically-neutral constitutional role, wrapped himself in Guardianista pseudoscience, and punched down hard on the poor who will be forced to pay for the collectivist madness that is the Net Zero project.
The UAE’s Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber reportedly says gradual cuts in oil, gas and coal use would 'take the world back into caves'
The president of the COP28 climate conference, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, has cast great doubt over zero-emissions policies being pushed by the United Nations, claiming there is “no science” to show that stage-by-stage cuts in fossil fuel use would decrease global heating, the Guardian reported on Sunday.
The chair of the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, now underway in Dubai, claimed that a gradual reduction in fossil fuel consumption would hold back sustainable development and drag humanity back to the Paleolithic period.
Pfizer and its partner BioNTech could be open to lawsuits for including a DNA sequence in their COVID-19 vaccine.
The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act, known as the PREP Act, largely shields COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers from lawsuits, but companies can be sued for "willful misconduct," which includes acts taken "intentionally to achieve a wrongful purpose."
"I think what we have here is willful misconduct," Mat Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel, told The Epoch Times.
He may be a sincere person
If Pfizer was found guilty of 10 violations that would be $100,000 times 3.5 million Texans who were injected with Pfizer’s mRNA, equating to a $350 Billion fine paid to Texas.
How your Government tricked you into taking part in a Deadly Experiment that killed Millions through Midazolam Poisoning & COVID Vaccination
The world was thrown into chaos when a new virus, Covid-19, was declared a pandemic by the government. Fear propaganda was broadcast non-stop on television and radio, all paid for by the government and they used the pandemic as an excuse to pass laws that restricted civil liberties and bribed the public with furlough payments to not go to work.
As the pandemic progressed, the government’s true motives were revealed, as they were found to be putting vulnerable individuals into end-of-life care and administering a drug called midazolam to kill them, while lying to the public by claiming that their deaths were due to the virus.
Imagine a cloud of sensors, each the size of a grain of sand or even smaller, blown aloft by hurricane winds and relaying data on the storm to weather stations below. Picture an invisible sensor network embedded into a smart city’s roads to monitor traffic, road surface damage and identify available parking spaces – all in real time. Or billions of nanosensors distributed over forests and other areas with fire hazards to detect a fire at its very beginning. Or envision programmable smart dust that triggers an alarm signal when invisible microcracks are detected in a turbine blade.
“A Constant State Of Sticker Shock” – Here Is Proof That Inflation In The U.S. Is Wildly Out Of Control
Do you believe the politicians in Washington or do you believe your own eyes? The politicians keep telling us that “inflation is low”, but everyone can see that everything sure does cost a lot more than it once did. Our standard of living just keeps going down, and even JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is admitting that “inflation is hurting people”. But how can inflation be “hurting people” if it is under control? Of course the truth is that it isn’t under control.
Gold set a new record on Friday and broke it again over the weekend. The spot price went as high as $2,125 in overseas trading Sunday night. In his podcast, Peter Schiff explained why he thinks this bull run is just getting started and gold will go much higher.
In fact, Peter said he thought these records would be broken “many many times over.” Gold also closed the month of November at over $2,000 an ounce. It was the first time that gold finished any month above $2k.
