Hamas Leaders Flee Qatar, Enter Hiding, After Israel Declares They'll Be Hunted Down

Following the end of the weeklong Israel-Hamas truce, there were international efforts to revive the Doha-based negotiations, but to no avail. Since then, Israel's military has only expanded ground operations to the south of the Gaza Strip, where tanks have been seen in the center of Khan Younis amid fierce fighting.

After earlier this month Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered Mossad negotiators home from Qatar, there were still hopes that behind-the-scenes efforts at mediating another temporary truce could be salvaged. But these have been dashed on reports that key Hamas officials involved in the talks have also exited Qatar this week.

The IDF has begun pumping seawater into Hamas' tunnel complex in Gaza, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday citing unnamed US officials, adding that the process would likely take weeks. Some Biden administration officials have said the process could help destroy the tunnels, where Israel believes the terrorist group is hiding hostages, fighters and munitions, the Journal reported. Other officials have expressed concerns the seawater would endanger Gaza's fresh water supply, the newspaper reported.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Two missiles fired from territory held by Yemen’s Houthi rebels missed a commercial tanker loaded with Indian-manufactured jet fuel near the key Bab el-Mandeb Strait on Wednesday, a US official said. An American warship also shot down a suspected Houthi drone flying in its direction during the incident, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters. No one was hurt in the attack, the official said.

Following a wave of rocket fire from Lebanon, the IDF on Wednesday struck Hezbollah sites in the southern part of the country, as the hostilities along the border continued unabated.

Sirens sounded Wednesday in the northern city of Rosh Hanikra, although the army said that all of the rockets fired from Lebanon landed in open areas, with no reports of damage or injuries.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has contradicted frontline developments by claiming that Russian troops have failed to capture a single village from Kiev’s forces this year. The Ukrainian leader talked up his country’s supposed military achievements in an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier on Tuesday.

Zelensky is visiting Washington this week to urge continued military assistance for Kiev in 2024.

Lawmakers Introduce Bipartisan Legislation Demanding Harvard, MIT Presidents Resign

Update (1640ET): Hours after Harvard announced they won't fire President Claudine Gay for refusing to condemn antisemitism on campus, as well as being a serial plagiarist, a bipartisan group of four House lawmakers are set to introduce a resolution Tuesday which denounces antisemitism at universities, NBC News reports.

The resolution, first obtained by NBC News, is authored by House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y.; the three other lead sponsors are Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., and two Jewish American Democrats, Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chair Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey and Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida.

Mobs of illegal aliens consisting primarily of Chinese males swarmed the California border today, according to reports.

NewsNation correspondent Jorge Ventura published exclusive footage showing Border Patrol agents processing long lines of illegal migrants in eastern San Diego County on Monday morning.

“Large groups of migrants, mostly Chinese national men crossing illegally through open gaps on the border wall in Jacumba Hot Springs, CA,” Ventura explained.

Eagle Pass, Texas, has encountered over 3,000 undocumented migrants in recent days. It's one of many southern cities overwhelmed by the flood of migrants at the border. 

In El Paso, border agents are already at their limits with just over 4,000 migrants in custody in the city. The city claims they're encountering nearly 1,000 migrants each day, with most of them being released, according to KATV. 

Pfizer Shares Plunge On Gloomy 2024 Outlook 

Shares of Pfizer tumbled in premarket trading in New York after the pharmaceutical company announced a forecasted revenue slump next year. The dismal outlook falls below the average estimates of analysts, attributed to sliding demand for Pfizer's Covid vaccines and other related products. 

Pfizer wrote in a press release titled "Pfizer Provides Full-Year 2024 Guidance" that full-year 2024 revenues are expected to be in the range of $58.5 to $61.5 billion, below the $62.9 billion analysts surveyed by Bloomberg expected. It expects annual earnings of $2.05 to $2.25 a share, far below analysts' $3.21 average estimate.

Beyond its global scale, the document does not explicitly say what specific sort of data was included in the sale. But previous reporting from the Wall Street Journal has shown that the marketing agency and government contractor responsible are part of a supply chain of location data harvested from devices, funneled through the advertising industry, onto contractors, which then ends with U.S. government clients.
