If Ukraine uses US-supplied cluster munitions on the battlefield, Moscow reserves the right to retaliate in kind, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned.

Speaking to journalist Pavel Zarubin, Putin offered his take on the decision by the administration of US President Joe Biden to provide Ukraine with cluster munitions – which are banned in more than 100 countries due to the risk they pose to civilians. 

“The US administration itself gave an assessment of these munitions through the mouths of its employees some time ago… calling the use [of these munitions] a crime. This is how I think it should be regarded,” he said, according to an extract of the interview released on Sunday.

Ukrainian aerial and seaborne drones have unsuccessfully tried to attack Sevastopol, the home to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, the port city’s top official, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said in the early hours of Sunday.

According to Razvozhayev, one UAV was shot down over the water and five others were disabled with signal-jamming.

He added that two seaborne drones were destroyed while approaching the port.

According to the official transcript, the 58-year-old Vice President meant to say 'pollution,' not 'population.'

Prime Minister Netanyahu released from hospital

The prime minister said that he had spent several hours at Lake Kinneret without a hat or water during a severe heatwave.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was released from the hospital on Sunday after his overnight stay following admittance to the emergency department at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday morning, the PMO stated that Netanyahu had undergone several tests at Sheba and they all came back normal. He is expected to be released from the hospital later on Sunday. According to sources from Sheba Medical Center, the prime minister lost consciousness while at home in Caesarea on Saturday and fell as a result, hitting his head.

IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack confirmed on Thursday that Argentina had paid off part of its debts—equivalent to $1.1 billion of the $2.7 billion that matured last month—with the IMF in Chinese currency.

“As we have stated in the past, the Argentine authorities continue to remain current on their financial obligations to the IMF,” Ms. Kozack said at a press briefing.

Waste of money: Germany to discard $4.5 BILLION of unused COVID-19 vaccines

Germany is set to discard up to 120 million doses of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine, costing around €4 billion ($4.5 billion), as the number of people willing to get "boosters" has dropped.

Berlin already threw away 54 million doses by the end of 2022 and discarded an additional 29 million doses in the first quarter of 2023. This amounted to a total of 83 million doses, though the number is likely to be higher.

The German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) did not provide the total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses discarded in the second quarter of 2023. It told POLITICO in an email: "Accordingly, a total volume of total disposed COVID-19 vaccine doses acquired by the Federal Republic of Germany cannot be quantified." The BMG also mentioned that private healthcare providers and state-level health authorities are not mandated to report vaccine waste. Court hears another case that wants to censor 10 Commandments

A fight in court over a representation of the biblical Ten Commandments in Arkansas is completely unnecessary, according to officials with First Liberty Institute.

Multiple anti-Christian organizations have sued over a stone monument in the state. But, officials with First Liberty Institute say the case could be ended immediately.

"The Supreme Court already settled this debate. Displays that are part of the history and tradition of America, like the Ten Commandments, are presumed to be constitutional," said Lea Patterson, counsel at First Liberty.

“Warning: Don’t take your daughter to Barbie,” Movieguide, a Christian movie review site warned ahead of the film’s release July 21. The review criticized the film about the iconic doll of abandoning its core audience of families and little girls to instead focus on LGBTQ stories.

“The new BARBIE movie forgets its core audience of families and children while catering to nostalgic adults and pushing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender character stories. Furthermore, the movie was poorly made with multiple premises, losing even the most die-hard fans,” the scathing staff review-penned piece began.

Parents in the UK can now be arrested for not paying for their child’s sex transition

An expert on the law who multiple times has testified before Congress on various legal disputes says the United Kingdom is going to extremes now, making it abuse NOT to abuse a child.

It is Jonathan Turley, of George Washington University, who has written a column about what the government there is demanding of parents when their children say they are transgender.

He said there’s an interpretation put forward by police in the U.K. which provides that “parents who refuse to use the alternative pronouns for their children or refuse to pay for their transitioning could be criminally prosecuted.”
