Ukrainian ‘terrorist attack’ on Crimea foiled – Russia
All of Kiev’s drones were either downed by air defenses or neutralized by electronic warfare, the Defense Ministry has said
Russian forces have intercepted a Ukrainian attack on the Crimean peninsula involving 25 drones, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said, adding that the raid caused no casualties or destruction.
In a statement early on Sunday, the ministry said Moscow had repelled “an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack with 25 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles” on facilities in Crimea.

Ukrainian drones have attacked Moscow City, the Russian capital’s iconic financial and business district, where some of Europe’s tallest skyscrapers are located, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said in the early hours of Sunday.
“The facades of the [Moscow] City’s two office towers sustained minor damage. There are no casualties or injuries,” Sobyanin wrote in a short post on his Telegram channel.

The North Korean rockets are being fired from Ukraine's Soviet-era Grad multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) launchers. Their use was first reported by the Financial Times, after Ukrainian troops showed them off to the paper's reporter. The soldiers say the rockets were "seized" from a ship by an unidentified "friendly" country.

The Russian forces have repelled 3 Ukrainian attacks in the Krasny Lyman direction over the past 24 hours, and the Ukrainian military lost up to 140 soldiers and 6 pieces of military equipment, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States has announced $345 million in military aid for Taiwan, in what is the Biden administration’s first major package drawing on America’s own stockpiles to help Taiwan counter China.
The White House said Friday the package would include defense, education and training for the Taiwanese. Washington will send man-portable air defense systems, or MANPADS, intelligence and surveillance capabilities, firearms and missiles, according to two U.S. officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is tracking an emerging fungus that presents a “serious global health threat.” The CDC said healthcare facilities in 29 states, including Florida, have reported that a type of yeast called Candida auris (C. auris) has been causing severe illness or death in hospitalized patients.
Nevada has reported the most cases, at 384. California has reported 359 cases. Florida has the third most cases, with 349 reported. “In some patients, this yeast can enter the bloodstream and spread throughout the body, causing serious invasive infections,” the CDC said. Researchers said the yeast often does not respond to “commonly used” antifungal drugs, which makes it difficult to treat.
