Moderna CFO exits a day after taking charge as former employer launches probe

(Reuters) -Moderna Inc's chief financial officer, Jorge Gomez, departed a day after taking charge, the vaccine maker said on Wednesday, following his former employer disclosing an internal probe related to financial reporting.

Gomez's appointment was announced in April and he assumed charge on Monday. Moderna said he left on Tuesday after Dentsply Sirona Inc announced the investigation.

The probe, which may cause a delay in the dental products maker's quarterly filing with U.S. securities regulators, was focused on the use of incentives to sell products to distributors and whether those were properly accounted.

Crowdfunding giant GoFundMe suspended a fundraising campaign for an 8-year-old girl who began to experience debilitating brain injuries just weeks after receiving a dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. The child’s mother, Jennifer Jones, strongly believes that the child’s injury is vaccine related, according to a report from Frontline News.

On Tuesday, Frontline News reported on the severe vaccine injuries suffered by 8-year-old Ryleigh Jones. Just week after receiving one injection of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, the child lost her ability to walk. She also experienced shortness of breath and chest pain and began to suffer from “sudden episodes of psychotic rages and blackouts and has suffered significant memory loss.”

Horror: Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital to Launch Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine Trial for Young Children Ages 6 Months to 5 Years

Atrium Health announced on Monday a new Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine clinical trial for healthy children ages six months and five years old will be launched at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte.

According to the news release, the same vaccine that has been authorized for kids ages five and older adjusted to a lower dose will be used for the study. A third shot will also be tested in the age group.
