Blast rocks Russian explosives plant

The deadly incident in Samara Region occurred during welding work, a local MP has claimed

An explosives plant in Central Russia has been torn apart by a blast, leaving six people dead and two others injured, local media reported on Friday, citing sources in the emergency services.

According to the TASS and RIA news agencies, the explosion occurred in the city of Chapaevsk in Samara Region, at the Promsintez plant. An emergency services representative told TASS the blast occurred when local workers were dismantling a technical pipeline, noting that the incident did not result in a fire.

Biden Reportedly Approves Sending Cluster Munitions to Ukraine

Amid a stalling counteroffensive operation by Ukraine, the regime in Kiev has repeatedly pressed the United States to supply it with cluster munitions. The controversial and widely banned type of weapons drop bomblets that can endanger civilians for years.

After months of deliberations on the issue, the administration of US President Joe Biden is reportedly expected to announce that the Pentagon will send cluster munitions to Ukraine. Thousands of the lethal weapons that contains multiple explosive submunitions, or bomblets that can injure or kill civilians, are to be part of the new military aid package to Ukraine worth up to $800 million, according to sources cited by US media reports.

Zelensky set to blow up Zaporozhye NPP ahead of NATO summit, says senior Russian lawmaker

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is planning to blow up the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in the run-up to NATO’s July summit and then pin the terrorist attack on Russia, thereby dragging the alliance into the conflict, Leonid Slutsky, leader of the LDPR party and chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, said on Wednesday.

"Everything indicates that Zelensky intends to lay ‘his last card’ on the table ahead of the NATO summit and blow up the Zaporozhye NPP. The objective is monstrous - to use a nuclear terrorist attack in order to place the blame on Russia and force the collective West to get directly involved in the Ukraine conflict," Slutsky wrote on his Telegram channel.

Russian Troops Seize Near Intact UK Storm Shadow Missile, To Be Checked By Specialists

On May 11, Ukraine affirmed that it had received the first, long-anticipated, British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles, which were sent by the United Kingdom. The weapon is designed to destroy bunkers and other rugged, hard-to-reach targets.

Russian servicemen from the BARS-11 volunteer unit and the Tsar's Wolves captured an almost intact British Storm Shadow cruise missile from the line of contact and handed it over to specialists for examination, said Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Tsar's Wolves military and technical center.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova expressed deep concern over the unprecedented spike in violence in France triggered by the police shooting of a 17-year-old man of Algerian and Moroccan descent, warning Paris against the use of any form of police brutality.

“We call on the [French] authorities to immediately establish the circumstances of the murder that stirred up France and take the necessary measures to punish the perpetrators. The situation in France must not threaten the security of our common European continent,” Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday.

Cops in France have been granted the authority to remotely activate a suspect's cellphone camera, microphone and GPS, after the passage of a provision in a wider "justice reform bill" on Wednesday night.

The bill allows the geolocation of crime suspects, covering other devices like laptops, cars and connected devices, just as it could be remotely activated to record sound and images of people suspected of terror offences, as well as delinquency and organised crime. -People's Gazette

Iran's Revolutionary Guards seize commercial ship in Gulf - US Navy

The US Navy had monitored the situation and decided not to make any further response, US 5th Fleet spokesperson Commander Tim Hawkins said.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards "forcibly seized" a commercial ship in international waters in the Gulf on Thursday and the vessel was possibly involved in smuggling, a US Navy spokesperson said.

The US Navy had monitored the situation and decided not to make any further response, US 5th Fleet spokesperson Commander Tim Hawkins said.

Netherlands is approving EUTHANASIA for people with autism, intellectual disabilities and mental illnesses

An investigation by Kingston University London has found that the Netherlands is accepting autism, mental illness and other intellectual handicaps as grounds for legal euthanasia.

Lead researcher Irene Tuffrey-Wijne, a palliative care specialist and a member of Kingston University's Faculty of Health, Science, Social Care and Education, along with her team of researchers, analyzed documents related to 900 legal euthanasia cases released by the Dutch government's euthanasia review committees.

UN expert says religious beliefs must change to accommodate “LGBT Ideology”

Last week, the U.N.’s Independent Expert on sexual orientation and gender identity, Victor Madrigal-Borloz, presented a report to the 53rd Session of the U.N. Human Rights Council arguing that religious freedom is “not incompatible with equality for LGBT persons.”

However, by reading Madrigal-Borloz’s report, it appears that his understanding of “compatibility” means that long-held religious beliefs and traditions must be subservient to the LGBT ideology.
