Putin Puts Forward New Procedure For Informing International Organizations About Martial Law

Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted to the State Duma a bill that proposes to change the procedure for informing international organizations about the introduction of martial law in Russia.

The bill proposes to amend the Federal Constitutional Law "On the State of Emergency" and the Federal Law "On Martial Law". According to the data base of the lower house, the draft proposes to omit the part about informing the Secretary General of the Council of Europe in the federal laws on a state of emergency and martial law.

Two drones were shot down while heading toward Moscow, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin and the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday. According to the officials, the attempted terrorist attack did not result in any casualties or destruction.

“At night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by drones was thwarted over Moscow region,” the ministry said in a statement.

On Saturday, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo posted a 21-second clip on X (formerly Twitter) in which she is seen standing in front of a cardboard cutout of a Russian soldier. Pointing at the figure, the spokesperson asks: “Do you know the difference between us and them?” 

EU Cannot Provide Security Guarantees to Ukraine Since It's Not a Security Organization - Spox

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The European Union is not a security organization and thus cannot provide security guaranties to Ukraine, European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano said Tuesday.

"The EU is supporting Ukraine in several areas, but the issue of security guarantees is not one for the European Union," Stano said at a briefing.

"We are not a security organization, that is why discussions of security guarantees are discussions for NATO and for individual countries, but not for the EU as an organization."

Poland, both a member of the European Union and NATO, has accused Belarus of wielding "hybrid warfare" in facilitating illegal migration at the Polish border, suggesting Minsk has encouraged migrants to fly into Belarus under the false promise of easy access to the European Union, the BBC reported.

After Victoria Nuland's Monday visit to Niger didn't bear much fruit, Secretary of State Antony Blinken has accused Wagner group of seeking to take advantage of the instability in the West African country to spread its and Russia's influence.

Fox News recently obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request a training presentation entitled “Affirming practice with LGBTQ+ youth,” which was presented to staff and graduate students at the university’s Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy on May 5 by members of the Hawaii DOH’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division’s Safe Spaces Committee.
