US to China: We’re hosting world’s largest naval exercise, in Pacific
The U.S. is hosting the world’s largest naval war games in the Pacific ocean this summer in a loud message to China. All four members of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (also known as “The Quad”) and at least five countries from the South China Sea will be in attendance.
In a Tuesday press release, the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) said the 2022 Rim of the Pacific exercise (RIMPAC) will see 38 surface ships, four submarines, nine national land forces, more than 170 aircraft and approximately 25,000 personnel from 26 different countries.
China asks for urgent meeting with US in Singapore with SECDEF Austin: Reports
The Chinese government has requested a meeting in Singapore next week with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin according to multiple media reports.
On Friday, Foreign Policy reporter Jake Detsch tweeted, “NEW: China’s military has formally requested a meeting between Defense Secretary Austin and Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe in Singapore next week: senior US defense official The planned meeting at the Shangri-La Dialogue to focus on ‘managing competition’ between U.S. & China.”
Russia's position on Taiwan as integral part of China remains unchanged, says diplomat

MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. Russia considers Taiwan an integral part of China, and this position of Moscow hasn't changed, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Friday.
"Russia's principled position on the Taiwan issue is unchanged. We proceed from the fact that there is only one China, the Chinese government is the only legitimate government representing all of China, and Taiwan is an integral part of China," she said.

Kalibr cruise missiles fired from a Russian naval vessel in the Black Sea, entered into - and flew deeply inside - the Beskydy Railway Tunnel near Lviv, Ukraine, and detonated, destroying the tunnel. It was a key rail route for NATO weapons being shipped into Ukraine.
The 1.8km long tunnel, travels beneath the Carpathian Mountains. It is the second longest (after Lutuginsky ). It is part of the Lviv railway .
A historic single-track tunnel was built in 1886 during the Austro-Hungarian period . In 2007, due to the emergency condition of the old tunnel, it was decided to build a new, double-track tunnel, which was laid 22 meters south of the old one and parallel to it.

Dozens were hurt during clashes on Friday night in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, where a coalition of opposition parties held street protests, demanding the authorities take a tougher stance against the country’s neighbor, Azerbaijan.
Police said 50 people were hospitalized, including 34 officers, and 11 were detained. They said officers were pelted with rocks and other projectiles as protesters marched on the main government building and blockaded it for more than two hours.
The wave of protests started in late April, with activists camping outside government buildings in the capital. On Friday, they once again called for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to step down, branding him “a traitor.”
JPMorgan Chase CEO warns of economic hurricane: ‘You better brace yourself’
The chief executive at JPMorgan Chase offered a grim financial outlook on Wednesday, warning of an economic “hurricane” and advising those listening that “you better brace yourself.”
“It’s a hurricane. Right now, it’s kind of sunny, things are doing fine. Everyone thinks the Fed can handle this,” Jamie Dimon said during a financial conference.
“That hurricane is right out there down the road, coming our way. We just don’t know if it’s a minor one or Superstorm Sandy or Andrew or something like that, and you better brace yourself,” he added.

Doctors Sue Biden Admin for Unlawfully Blocking Them from Treating COVID-19 Patients with Ivermectin
A group of doctors has filed a lawsuit against Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration for unlawfully blocking them from using ivermectin to treat COVID-19.
The suit is filed against the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
It also names HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and FDA Commissioner Robert M. Califf as defendants.
In the filing, plaintiffs Mary Talley Bowden, Paul E. Marik, and Robert L. Apter argue that by publicly ordering health professionals and patients to avoid ivermectin, the FDA both acted outside of its authority.
They say the FDA inhibited the doctors’ ability to practice medicine.

The verdict follows a similar ruling in Judicial Watch’s favor last month finding California’s diversity mandate for corporate boards unconstitutional.
Judicial Watch filed the gender quota lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2019, on behalf of California taxpayers, Robin Crest, Earl De Vries and Judy De Vries. The lawsuit challenges a 2018 law, known as Senate Bill 826, which requires every publicly held corporation headquartered in California to have at least one director “who self-identifies her gender as a woman” on its board of directors by December 31, 2019.

Computer science PhD student Giannis Daras took to Twitter to share examples of the 'language', including phrases the AI had created to identify birds and insects.
"Apoploe vesrreaitais" means 'birds', while "Contarra ccetnxniams luryca tanniounons" means insects.
Daras claimed in the viral thread that if you enter the gibberish words created by the AI back into the system, it will generate images linked to those phrases.
