BREAKING – 4.8 magnitude earthquake strikes New Jersey and surrounding area
The FAA has just issued ground stops at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City due to the 4.8 earthquake. This is the third strongest earthquake to strike on record for the state in 280 years.
The 4.8-magnitude quake interrupted a session of the UN Security Council
A UN Security Council session was interrupted on Friday after the world body’s headquarters in New York began to shake.
The culprit was an earthquake under neighboring New Jersey, felt dozens of kilometers away. Residents of New York City and the surrounding areas took to social media in alarm as the ground beneath their feet began to tremble. Initial reports spoke of a 5.5-magnitude quake near North Plainfield, New Jersey, which could be felt as far away as Pennsylvania. However, the US Geological Survey (USGS) later said the magnitude was just 4.8 and the epicenter was under Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, 30km further to the west.
Mysterious 'radiation leak' sparks Russia nationwide state of emergency over nuclear risk
Officials in Russia declared a state of emergency following a mysterious radiation leak in the city of Khabarovsk - the source is said to have been re-located to a waste storage facility
A state of emergency has been imposed in a Russian city due to nuclear contamination. The Russian authorities have not explained what is causing the alarming radiation in Khabarovsk. A mystery radiation source was today “removed and placed in a protective container” and “transported to a radioactive waste storage facility”. Yet a state of emergency is to remain for at least three more days in the Industrialny district of the city, as law enforcement agencies examine the origin of the leak.

Washington’s NATO promise to Kiev is prelude to ‘nuclear apocalypse’ – Musk
Ukraine joining the bloc is like the start of a movie about end of the world, the billionaire has said
A pledge by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Ukraine will become a member of NATO looks like a scene from a movie about a nuclear apocalypse, entrepreneur Elon Musk believes.
The top US diplomat reiterated the “rock solid” determination of his country and other members to eventually include Ukraine in the military bloc at a NATO summit in Brussels this week. Speaking alongside Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, he said the purpose of the event was to “help build a bridge to membership.”
US and Germany against inviting Ukraine into NATO – NYT
The bloc wants to find a “middle ground” in helping Kiev as it “is in danger of losing the war,” the paper reports
The US and Germany are reluctant to accept Ukraine into NATO despite fears of Kiev’s military collapse under Russian pressure, the New York Times reported on Thursday. Officials in the US-led bloc are worried that such a drastic move “would draw it into the biggest land war in Europe since 1945,” the paper said, adding that NATO is looking for a “middle ground” instead.

The Transdnistrian authorities are closely allied with Moscow and the region hosts around 1,500 Russian troops. "The target was a radar station, which suffered minor damage, but there were no casualties. An investigative team is working on the spot. A criminal case has been opened," the ministry said. It did not name a culprit.

Strike on Iran's consulate in Syria is 'turning point,' Hezbollah's Nasrallah says
Israel has braced itself for the possibility of a retaliatory attack, canceling leave for all combat units and mobilizing more troops for air defense units.
The head of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah said on Friday that Israel's strike on Iran's consulate in Damascus this week marked a "turning point" since Oct. 7, when Hamas launched an attack on Israel that has led to escalating regional tensions. The Damascus strike on Monday killed seven Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps members, among them a senior Quds Force commander, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi. Iran has vowed revenge.

US President Joe Biden indicated to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a Thursday phone call that Washington’s policy regarding the war in Gaza will fundamentally change if Israel doesn’t implement a series of concrete steps to address the humanitarian crisis and protect aid workers, adding that an immediate ceasefire was essential for meeting those aims. Biden “made clear the need for Israel to announce and implement a series of specific, concrete and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering and the safety of aid workers,” according to a White House readout after the leaders held their first call since an accidental IDF strike on a World Central Kitchen convoy on Monday killed seven aid workers.

‘Martyrs on the road to Jerusalem’: As Israelis brace for possible retaliation, thousands gather for Quds Day commemorations in Tehran
Thousands of people gathered in Tehran on Friday for the funerals of seven members of the Revolutionary Guards killed in a strike in Syria that Iran blamed on Israel. The Guards, including two generals, were killed Monday, with the airstrike leveling the Iranian embassy’s consular annex in Damascus. Israel has not commented on the strike, but analysts saw it as an escalation of its campaign against Iran and its regional proxies that runs the risk of triggering a wider war beyond the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip.

The four Hamas members, all Lebanese nationals, are suspected of planning to carry out attacks against Israeli individuals and institutions in Europe under instructions from a terror group in Lebanon. Proposal To Move Bank Regulation Goalposts Signals Underlying Problems In Financial System
If a formula spits out a number you don't like, just change the formula so you get a better number!
That’s exactly what the Bureau of Labor Statistics did to the Consumer Price Index formula in the 1990s. Because the CPI kept indicating price inflation was too high, the BLS tweaked the formula to spit out a lower inflation number. Now the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) is trying to talk the Federal Reserve into changing the formula for the supplementary leverage ratio (SLR) to make bank balance sheets look better. This proposal sends some alarming messages about the stability of the banking system and confidence in U.S. government debt.
BANK OF AMERICA SAYS IMMINENT FISCAL CRISIS LOOMING, EXPERTS WARN
(MSN) – Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan and Joao Gomes, vice dean of Wharton, warn of an impending fiscal crisis due to escalating US national debt.
They call for prioritizing debt payment, tightening fiscal policies, and a fundamental change in government budget management. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) predicts public debt could reach 166% of the GDP by 2054, growing to an estimated $141.1 trillion from the current $34 trillion. Factors contributing to this projection include unsustainable economic policies, increasing mandatory spending, and the retirement of the baby-boom generation which puts added pressure on Social Security and Medicare.
Here We Go: Scientists Warn Bird Flu Pandemic Could Be ‘100 Times Worse’ Than COVID-19
Amidst growing concerns, experts have cautioned that a bird flu pandemic may be looming on the horizon, one that could be catastrophic on a scale ‘100 times worse than Covid-19.’
The alarm was raised following reports of the virus being found in multiple species, including cows, cats, and humans, which could potentially accelerate the virus’s mutation to become more transmissible among humans. In March 2024, testing for influenza was conducted on several animals in Texas and Kansas due to signs of illness. These animals included wild birds, cats, and dairy cows. Some of these tests returned positive for avian influenza A(H5N1), marking the first time the virus has been detected in cattle within the United States.
Humza Yousaf received the most complaints on the first day of Scotland’s new “hate crime” legislation
Since the controversial “hate crime” legislation came into effect on Monday it is reported that almost 4,000 complaints have been made to Police Scotland. The police are reportedly dealing with 60 complaints on average per hour.
Police sources have now given some details about the “hate crime” complaints revealing that the majority relate to the First Minister as well as JK Rowling. “A lot of those complaints were about Humza Yousaf, on the same complaint about his parliamentary rant,” an insider told The Sun. “JK Rowling has had some, but not as many as Humza Yousaf.” The complaints against JK Rowling, who is based in Edinburgh, refer to a string of tweets she made about several prominent trans women, and convicted sex offenders, earlier this week.
World’s most famous fantasy writer won’t go to jail for refusing to believe in transgender magic
The world’s most famous fantasy writer, JK Rowling, apparently doesn’t believe in transgender magic. In a Twitter (X) post on April Fool’s Day, she bravely described several transgender “women” as biological men — including convicted prisoners, trans activists and other public figures.
Unnaturally, this resulted in numerous complaints being filed with the police under Scotland’s 2021 Hate Crime and Public Order Act, demanding she be locked up in Hogwarts’ deepest dungeon. Thankfully, the world is saner than TikTokers may lead you to believe. A BBC report said her words won’t be “treated as criminal” and “no action will be taken.”
Boston hospital sparks outrage after announcing it will scale back on child abuse and neglect reports because it can perpetuate ‘structural racism’
A Boston, Massachusetts, hospital announced Tuesday that after finding Black mothers were more likely to be reported for child abuse and neglect if a toxicology report came back positive, it would be taking steps to reevaluate the process in order to avoid perpetuating “structural racism.”
“Black pregnant people are more likely to be drug tested and to be reported to child welfare systems than white pregnant people,” said Mass General Brigham, a nonprofit health care system. “As a part of our United Against Racism effort to achieve health equity for patients and communities across our system, we… are addressing policies that may unwittingly perpetuate structural racism,” Mass General stated.
Officials Along Path of Eclipse Quietly Declaring States of Emergency
They have good reasons for doing it. And we have good reasons for not trusting them.
Sometimes, two seemingly contradictory statements each contain essential truths. Last week, Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb, of Indiana, signed Executive Order 24-05, a statewide disaster emergency declaration in advance of Monday’s expected total solar eclipse. Parts of Indiana lay in the eclipse’s path of totality. For that reason, Holcomb predicted “several hundred thousand visitors” to the state.
Here is what happened the last time two eclipses formed a giant “X” over the New Madrid fault zone
Could it be possible that history is about to repeat itself? On April 8th, the Great American Eclipse of 2024 will complete the giant “X” over America that the Great American Eclipse of 2017 started.
Meanwhile, the Devil Comet will be racing through our solar system for the first time in 71 years. Most of you already know all this. But what is not widely known is that we have seen this same pattern before. In 1811, a solar eclipse finished the giant “X” over the heartland of America that a solar eclipse in 1806 had started, and meanwhile Tecumseh’s Comet was making headlines all over the nation as it raced through the heavens. Approximately three months after the giant “X” over America was completed, cataclysmic earthquakes began erupting along the New Madrid fault.
The WEF plan to remake Canada just SCORED a big win
