Russia to probe possible US links to terror attacks
A complaint filed last week by lawmakers has been deemed credible enough for a formal inquiry
The Russian Investigative Committee has launched a probe into allegations that Ukraine and its Western backers are involved in terrorist activities on Russian soil. It follows complaints from MPs and public figures last week. The law enforcement body announced on Monday that it was moving forward with the procedural investigation after reviewing the initial accusations. The initial claim, which the Committee confirmed receiving last Wednesday, identified the US and its allies as allegedly driving a string of attacks on Russian soil. The agency is looking into the purported “organization, financing and conduct of terrorist acts” by those nations.
Iran tipped Russia off about ‘terrorist operation’ ahead of attack – Reuters
Tehran reportedly shared intelligence relating to terrorists’ plan with Moscow days before the massacre
Iran alerted Russia of a looming major “terrorist operation” in the country days before the deadly Crocus City Hall attack, which claimed the lives of over 140, Reuters reported on Monday, citing three sources familiar with the matter. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, however, told reporters he was not aware of such a warning. The Iranian side reportedly attributed the imminent attack to terrorists within Islamic State’s Afghanistan-based ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K), citing information obtained during interrogations of suspects in recent deadly bombings in the country. Earlier this year, Tehran detained some 35 suspected members of ISIS-K, following a major blast in the city of Kerman that killed about 100 people.
In Russia Mass Deportations Of Muslim Migrants Surge After Moscow Terror Attack
There have been widespread reports of mass deportations of Muslim migrants from Russia in the wake of the March 22 terror attack on the Crocus City Hall venue in a Moscow suburb which killed at least 140 people and left hundreds more wounded and injured.
This trend is said to be the result of a significant uptick in raids by authorities on apartments and dorm complexes known to house Central Asian migrants, amid concerns that Islamic radicals could carry out more attacks. President Vladimir Putin has put blame on Islamic extremists for the major attack which involved four gunmen planting explosives and randomly shooting into crowds; however, he and Kremlin officials also believe the men had assistance from Ukraine or possibly US or other foreign intelligence.

UAVs attempted to strike industrial facilities in Elabuga and Nizhnekamsk, the regional press service said
At least seven people have been injured in a drone strike on the city of Elabuga in the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, news agencies reported on Tuesday, citing local health officials. The region is located some 650 km east of Moscow, and had not previously been directly impacted by the Ukraine conflict. Tatarstan leader Rustam Mannikhanov said Elabuga and the nearby city of Nizhnekamsk came under drone attacks, adding that no serious damage was inflicted by the kamikaze aircraft.
Russia-NATO relations worse than during Cold War – Moscow
The Russian military is ready for the possible deployment of the US-led bloc’s troops to Ukraine, a top diplomat has said
The current state of relations between Russia and NATO can be described as “something more than a Cold War,” the head of Moscow’s delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, Konstantin Gavrilov, has said. During an interview with RIA Novosti on Monday, Gavrilov was asked to comment on French President Emmanuel Macron’s February statement that he “cannot exclude” the possibility of troops from NATO countries being sent to Ukraine to aid Kiev in the conflict with Moscow.
‘Only a Matter of Time’ Before NATO Enters Ukraine, Says Analyst
On Sunday, members of the Russian 9th Brigade raised a flag on a northwestern building in Pervomaiskoye, confirming Russian control over most of the village and marking further Russian advances west of Avdeyevka.
As the situation becomes more desperate for Ukraine, it is only a matter of time before NATO troops start operating “openly” in the country, security and international relations analyst Mark Sleboda told Sputnik’s Fault Lines on Monday. He also predicted that Ukraine will resort to more terror attacks as its troops are forced to step back.

'Ground is being prepared for major attack': The coming Iranian response to Syria strike
"Zahedi was a very senior person who can be said to have given Israel a lot of headaches in the last twenty years for all his exploits in his involvement in terrorism," Hezi Simantov said.
Hezi Simantov, a commentator and correspondent for Arab affairs of 'News 13', spoke Tuesday morning with Nissim Mashal and Anat Davidov on 103FM about the assassination of the senior Iranian Mohammad Reza Zahedi, commander of the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon, and the expected consequences. First of all, according to the reports from Syria and Iran, the Israeli Air Force allegedly attacked a building adjacent to the Iranian embassy in Damascus, where several senior Iranian officials were located, among them Mohammad Reza Zahedi, who is actually the deputy commander of the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards in Syria and Lebanon,” Simantov began.
We Are Just One Step Away From An Apocalyptic War In The Middle East
Did you see what just happened in Damascus? In an absolutely stunning move, Israel took out the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Needless to say, the Iranians are absolutely furious and they are promising a “harsh” response. For a long time, I have been warning my readers that an apocalyptic war in the Middle East will be one of the conflicts that defines World War III. The good news is that the war in the Middle East has not escalated to an apocalyptic level yet. But after what we witnessed on Monday, we are just one step away.

Turkey Expected To Become US' Largest Supplier Of Artillery
Turkey is set to become the United States’ largest supplier of artillery shells as NATO allies have exhausted their stocks and now struggle to ship ammunition to Ukraine.
Turkey’s indirect support for Ukraine is also supplemented by direct support, such as producing drones and warships, yet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offers himself as a viable partner in searching for peace between Ukraine and Russia. “Turkish supplies of trinitrotoluene, known as TNT, and nitroguanidine, which is used as a propellant, would be crucial in the production of Nato-standard 155mm calibre ammunition — potentially tripling production, according to officials familiar with the discussions,” a Bloomberg report said, adding: “Turkey is already on track to becoming the biggest seller of the artillery shells to the US as early as this year.”

Gavin Newsom Applauds Rollout Of AI Surveillance Network In California
If you’re not a criminal then you have nothing to hide, right?
This is the perpetual argument used in favor of state mass surveillance throughout history. It’s the underlying justification at the birth of every surveillance agency from the Soviet Cheka to the German Stasi and beyond. Don’t commit crimes and “you have nothing to worry about.” Of course, this argument requires the public to overlook a simple and universal truth – That which is legal today can be made illegal tomorrow, and the people who make these decisions are often not good people. With the ability to track and trace the behavior and movements of the citizenry in real time, the temptation to abuse that technology to increase government power is exponential. That is to say, mass surveillance tends to inspire governments to abuse their authority and treat people like criminals even when they are innocent.
