WHO revises gender manual
The global health body is updating its training materials “in light of new scientific evidence”
The World Health Organization (WHO) has begun the process of revising an anti-discrimination training manual for medical managers to make sure that it incorporates the latest thinking on “gender and sexual diversity.”
The “gender mainstreaming” manual, first published in 2011, will be updated “in light of new scientific evidence and conceptual progress on gender, health and development,” the WHO announced on Wednesday. The widely used training materials are used in workshops for health managers to help reduce gender-based inequities in medical services.

The US Department of the Treasury on Wednesday blacklisted several Iranian oil exporters and alleged front companies in China and the United Arab Emirates, accusing them of evading the ban on the export of Iranian petrochemicals to East Asia.
The move comes as talks fail again on reinstating the nuclear deal, in which Tehran demanded the US lift the sanctions imposed when Washington unilaterally withdrew from the agreement.

Russia Says It Destroyed Two US-Supplied HIMARS Rocket Systems In Ukraine
Russia’s defense ministry announced Wednesday that its forces operating in Ukraine have destroyed two US-supplied rocket systems recently transferred to Ukrainian forces under authorization of the Biden administration.
In particular, Moscow is claiming it took out a pair of advanced High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), which have served to greatly expand the targeting range of the Ukrainian army. Earlier in the war, Russia vowed to attack any foreign supplied weapons or convoys it finds on the battlefield, further saying it would hold the supplying nations "responsible".
Belarus Threatens To Strike Poland If Cross-Border "Provocations" Launched
On Wednesday the Belarusian military issued a stern warning and statement threatening that it's ready to strike Polish military infrastructures if "provocations" are launched from Poland, however no specifics were given on the type of aggression Belarus is alleging could happen.
The vague warning comes as tensions are already soaring between close Putin-ally Alexander Lukashenko's Belarus and outspoken NATO member Poland. For starters, Warsaw has long accused Lukashenko of weaponizing migrants, and days ago completed construction on a controversial new section of border wall spanning 186 kilometers.

This would be catastrophic for nations like Germany, which depend heavily on Russian gas to generate electricity and power domestic industry.
Finland "Seizes" Almost 1000 Russian Rail Cars
Finland has seized nearly a thousand Russian freight cars as a result of EU sanctions. On its face, this appears to be outright THEFT.
After the EU sanctioned Russian coal in April, Finland’s state-owned rail operator VR moved to reduce railway traffic from Russia. According to a June 6 letter from Russian Railways to the Ministry of Transport, 865 Russian freight cars have been seized by Finnish bailiffs.
VR officials confirmed that about 800 sanctioned Russian freight cars were in Finland at the moment and that the company wishes to return any that have not been seized. VR’s head of logistics said there were around 5,000 Russian cars when it decided to reduce traffic, and that bailiff authorities ordered some to be seized.
