Russia sanctions may lead to global energy crisis

International energy security should be the top priority now, IEA says 

The events in Ukraine could soon lead to a global energy crisis, the head of the Paris-based International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, said at a meeting of energy and climate ministers on Wednesday.

“Given Russia’s role in the global energy system, this humanitarian crisis could be followed by an energy one,” he said, noting that it is now crucial to determine what measures the global community can take to avoid this.

“This situation confirms the need to ensure international energy security.” 

G7 rejects Russian demand to pay for gas in rubles

Bloc sees payment switch as breach of current contracts 

The Group of Seven major economies have collectively agreed to reject Moscow’s demand to pay for gas imports from Russia in rubles, according to German Energy Minister Robert Habeck.

“All G7 ministers agreed completely that this [would be] a one-sided and clear breach of the existing contracts,”Habeck told journalists on Monday.

The minister added that “payment in rubles is not acceptable” and that the nations will urge the companies affected “not to follow” the demand issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin last week. 

Conflict in Ukraine Sparks Massive Problems for One of World's Largest Seafood Exporters 

A combination of closed airspace, exorbitant fuel prices, and reduced export capacity amid an ongoing sanctions war have led to severe disruptions on the seafood market. This bodes ill for Norway, for which seafood is a major source of income trailing only oil and gas.

As an unexpected consequence, Russia's special operation in Ukraine and ensuing wave of sanctions and countersanctions have sparked massive problems for Norwegian seafood exports.

As the airspace over Russia is closed to European aircraft, the transport of goods to the lucrative Asian market must take a major detour south. Longer routes to reach delivery points force cargo planes to take on board much more fuel, which, in turn, means that they can carry less. 

Most of Mariupol Is Under Control of Russian Military, Chechen Republic Head Kadyrov Says 

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Most of Mariupol (the second-largest city of the DPR after Donetsk) is currently under the control of the Russian armed forces, Chechen Republic head Ramzan Kadyrov said.

Earlier, the Chechen authorities confirmed that Kadyrov was in Mariupol. The head of Chechnya met with Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) leader Denis Pushilin and discussed plans for further cooperation.

"Russian servicemen have carried out tremendous work to liberate the city, a significant part of the enemy's manpower and armoured vehicles has been destroyed. At the moment, most of the city is under the control of the Russian armed forces", Kadyrov wrote on Telegram.

Over the past few weeks, the Donetsk People's Republic militia, together with Russian troops, have been clearing Mariupol of the remaining forces of Ukrainian radicals, including the Azov nationalist battalion.

And now on Monday, NATO allies are said to be split on whether they should talk to Putin, which also comes after weeks of France's Emmanuel Macron coming under intense pressure for being among the only Western leaders willing to hold frequent phone calls directly with Putin seeking de-escalation.

The media likes to focus on the stock market because stocks are “sexy” and grab the public’s attention. However, the reality is that the stock market is one of the smallest asset classes out there. Globally the stock market is about $89 trillion. 

We Are In So Much Trouble 

What we are witnessing is truly the beginning of the end.  In recent months I have focused a lot on the economic implosion that is now taking place, but what we are facing is so much broader than that.  Our society is literally falling to pieces all around us, and now World War 3 has begun. 

Many regard the war that has erupted on the other side of the globe as just a conflict between Ukraine and Russia, but the truth is that it is really a proxy war between the United States and Russia.  And since neither side seems much interested in diplomacy at this point, this proxy war could eventually become a shooting war between the two greatest nuclear powers on the entire planet. 

A Manufactured World Crisis 

Few people today ask the most important question about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Many people want America to stay out of the fight, but even they don’t ask the vital question. Why does the world face a crisis today? Why has a border dispute between Russia and Ukraine escalated to the point where people fear nuclear war?

The answer is simple. America, under the “leadership” of brain-dead Biden and the forces controlling him, has done this and, by doing so, brought the world to the brink of disaster. As always, the great Dr. Ron Paul gets it right:

A moderately-strong solar flare measuring M4.0 erupted from geoeffective Active Region 2975 at 11:29 UTC on March 28, 2022. The event started at 10:58 UTC and ended at 11:45.

The event was associated with a Type II Radio Emission at 11:23 UTC, with an estimated velocity of 1 259 km/s. Type II emissions occur in association with eruptions on the Sun and typically indicate a coronal mass ejection is associated with a flare event.

Additionally, a Type IV Radio Emission was registered at 11:37 UTC. Type IV emissions occur in association with major eruptions on the Sun and are typically associated with strong coronal mass ejections and solar radiation storms.

A strong volcanic tremor and new heating cycle started at Mt. Ruapehu's Crater Lake two weeks ago. On March 28, 2022, GeoNet raised the Aviation Color Code to Yellow. The Volcanic Alert Level remains at Level 2 since March 21.

Ruapehu’s Crater Lake (Te Wai ā-moe) entered a new heating cycle two weeks ago. This activity was accompanied by strong levels of volcanic tremor (volcanic earthquakes), GNS Duty Volcanologist Geoff Kilgour noted today.1

Over the past week, the lake has heated further to approximately 32 °C (90 °F), up from 31 °C (87.8 °F) last week. The slow heating has been hindered by heavy rainfall at the volcano and influx of cold water into the lake.
