Russia will investigate the deadly incident that killed the Wagner boss, Dmitry Peskov has said
Russian investigators are not ruling out foul play in the plane crash that killed Wagner boss Evgeny Prigozhin, and will consider every possible scenario, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told journalists.
“It is obvious that different versions exist and are being considered. Among them is the one [involving a] deliberate atrocity,” he said on Wednesday, urging the media to wait for official updates from investigators.
Drone Destroyed Over Moscow Region
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said early Thursday that Russia's air defense systems destroyed a drone flying toward Moscow over the Voskresensky district of the Moscow region.
"Today, air defense forces destroyed a drone flying in the direction of Moscow. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or destruction," Sobyanin said on Telegram. He added that emergency services were working on site.

Rare Uprising Against US-Backed Forces In Syria Leaves Many Kill
There's been a rare armed uprising in a region of Syria currently occupied by American forces, which has resulted in dead and wounded. Regional reports have tallied at least 13 to as many as 25 people, both militants and civilians, have been killed.
It happened Wednesday in Deir Ezzor province, which for years has had some 1,000 or more US soldiers occupying what is Syria's only oil and gas rich province. The US has trained and supported Kurkish-led "Syrian Democratic Forces" while also cutting off Damascus and most of the Syrian population from its own resources.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - North Korea, in response to the US-South Korea drills, has carried out a tactical nuclear strike drill simulating nuclear strikes at the territory of South Korea, the General Staff of the Korean People's Army (KPA) said Wednesday.
"On August 30 the US imperialists let a formation of B-1B nuclear strategic bombers conduct a joint attack formation drill against the DPRK together with fighters of the military gangsters of the 'Republic of Korea' in the sky above the East and West Seas of Korea," North Korean state media quoted the general staff as saying.

Noureddin Bongo Valentin, one of the president's sons, and other high-profile government officials, as well as some members of the ruling Gabonese Democratic Party, have also been arrested, the coup leaders said in a statement reported by AFP.
