Russian Church calls for ‘Christmas truce’ in Ukraine

The primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, has called on the forces of both Russia and Ukraine to cease hostilities in the run-up to and during Christmas. Both Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox faithful traditionally celebrate the holiday on January 7.
In a statement on Wednesday, Patriarch Kirill addressed to “all parties embroiled in internal strife…an appeal to cease fire and establish a Christmas truce from 12:00 on January 6 to 24:00 on January 7.”
Italy can’t be mediator in Ukraine crisis – Moscow

Italy cannot be a mediator in the conflict between Moscow and Kiev, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday. The remarks came in response to an earlier initiative voiced by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
“It is strange for us to hear mediation proposals from nations that have taken an unambiguous and quite aggressive anti-Russian position from the very beginning of the military operation in Ukraine,” Zakharova said in a statement published by the ministry.

A private company linked to terrorism in Ukraine is providing the British military with illegally-gathered smartphone data to aid the planning of attacks and targeted killings, The Grayzone reported on Tuesday.
According to files leaked to the outlet, the military is making use of data illegally harvested from cell phones in Russia and Ukraine by spy firm Anomaly 6, to enable “the planning of military offensives and artillery attacks, assassinations, asset recruitment, and other measures.”
Putin bans export of Russian oil to US and other nations that implemented a price cap
(Natural News) Russian President Vladimir Putin recently signed a decree to temporarily ban the export of oil products to the United States and other nations that implement a price cap.
The ban will take effect from February 1 to July 1.
“Deliveries of Russian oil and oil products to foreign entities and individuals are banned, on the condition that in the contracts for these supplies, the use of a maximum price fixing mechanism is directly or indirectly envisaged,” the decree stated. “The established ban applies to all stages of supply up to the end buyer.”

The US, EU and China face serious economic struggles in 2023, which is shaping up to be more difficult than the previous year, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic warned on Wednesday. Belgrade is trying to stock up on basic food supplies, as the world is likely to face shortages soon, he added.
“I expect 2023 to be much more difficult than 2022,” Vucic told reporters in Belgrade. The US federal reserve has raised interest rates, “China’s growth rate has slowed, the EU is approaching a recession,” he added. “We’re a part of that chain, so that will impact us as well.”

Amazon CEO announces plan to layoff over 18,000 employees
SEATTLE — The CEO of Amazon, Andy Jassy, shared in a memo on Tuesday that the tech giant will be laying off a little over 18,000 jobs. Most of which will be within their Amazon stores and the People Experience and Technology Solutions team (PXT).

One rule that I have always lived by is that crazy people should be avoided. But what good is that rule now that our entire society has started to go completely nuts? Everywhere you look, the fabric of our society is being completely shredded.
The thin veneer of civilization that we all used to be able to take for granted is rapidly disappearing, and violence often erupts for seemingly no reason at all. You simply cannot have a “civilization” without civilized people, and the truth is that we are becoming less civilized with each passing year. Sadly, this is particularly true for our young people.
Yeah let’s block the sun. Plants will die. Oxygen will diminish. But the suns rays will be less. Wtf? I’m glad I’m not in NY I don’t want to become fertilizer for someone’s community garden. The world is in such chaos I’m glad I’m on my way out, I fear for my grandchildren tho.
The "fabric of society" article is excellent. Civilization is indeed coming apart, dramatically and quickly. But it's not because of young people. Corrupted youth were indoctrinated by older people. The "waffle house girl" is no longer employed there because her (older) superiors punished her for breaking a sugar shaker during the fight. She is now blacklisted by that company from employment at any of their restaurants. Many of the misguided youths will be redeemed. Their elders who indoctrinated them will not be. They must be hunted down and removed from society. We will need to redefine what is required to be civilized in order to save civilization.
