Pope calls Ukraine conflict a ‘global war’

The conflict in Ukraine will likely be prolonged because it’s a “global war” with too many interests involved in it, Pope Francis has warned. Russia has been saying that the “proxy war” has actually been waged against it in the neighboring country by the US and NATO.
“I don’t see an end [to the fighting in Ukraine] in the near future because this is a global war. Let’s not forget this,” the pontiff said in an interview with Spanish paper ABC on Sunday.

A civilian has been killed and at least eight others injured in a Ukrainian attack on western Russia’s Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has reported on Telegram.
“Our air defense system worked over Belgorod and Belgorod Region,” he wrote on Sunday.
Gladkov previously reported that four people had been injured in the city of Belgorod.

On Friday, Greek Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos said that the country's government is ready to send S-300 air defense systems from Crete to Ukraine if the US "installs the Patriot system in their place."

The discovery of a contract awarded by the U.S. Department of Defense to Labyrinth Global Health for “COVID-19 Research” in November 2019 has raised questions about the Government’s knowledge of the novel coronavirus.
